tbh I still haven’t processed that our season is finished, but after almost two weeks of no LBD practice, I think it’s time for this post😭.

Those who truly know me understand WHY I came to Winter Haven in the first place. It wasn’t solely about winning, it wasn’t about stats. Truthfully, it was about the people, the environment, being VALUED. I cannot express enough my gratitude for these coaches, this program, my family, and especially these girls. I came here in search of a family, longing for people to understand me as a person and wanting to be around people who would make me better, not just as an athlete but in the outside world too. From the days with Pastor T to the post-practice talks/bible studies, and even down to the conversations with my teammates on the days we spent together, I can confidently say I am a different person leaving this program than I was when I first entered.

This transfer was probably one of the biggest decisions my family and I made, and I have no regrets.

To Coach Johnnie, Coach Billy, Coach Van, Coach JT, Coach Dez ANDDD Coach Hall, I am forever grateful for you guys. You guys pushed us to our limits every day, especially the days that you had us running for what felt like an eternity. You took me into this program and gave me a home, along with all the other girls that came in this season and believed in us, sometimes more than we did ourselves. You’ve shown me love like you would your own family, and THAT is irreplaceable.

To Jaeden, Bossy, Quin, Serenity, Amaya, Alyse, Vic, Macy, Lee, Faith, Breezy, and Daedae (yes I had to list them all), thank you guys for making this season the best of my highschool career. Growing closer with you guys has been such a blessing, and from day 1 we all had the same goal in mind: Win states. And we did just that. We did what many people thought we couldn’t. We did what many said we didn’t DESERVE, but only we know the work we put in to get there. We ended this season off on a high note and I can’t wait to finish the year out with more memories.

And to coach jones, you might wanna fix that scouting report🤞🏾
