[We love watching][nonobject as lil image-dump-groupshow with insta-fri3nds]

We love watching.

Not necessarily understanding, feeling, or remembering — just watching.

An endless appetite for movement, stimulation, reaction. Images sliding into other images before they can fully register. A constant visual fast food: consumed quickly, forgotten instantly, replaced immediately.

The feed never asks for reflection. Only attention.

And over time, watching becomes detached from meaning itself. War footage next to makeup tutorials. Tragedy between memes. Extreme beauty, extreme violence, advertising, irony, personal breakdowns — flattened into the same visual texture. Everything becomes equally scrollable.

Noise doesn’t even feel loud anymore. It feels normal.

Maybe that’s the strangest part: the human nervous system adapting to impossible levels of stimulation with almost no time to metabolize any of it. We see more than any generation before us, yet so little actually lands. Images pass through consciousness like particles.

And still we continue searching for the next thing to look at.

Not because it nourishes us, but because silence now feels unfamiliar. Empty space feels broken. The absence of images begins to resemble absence itself.

So we keep watching.

Not always out of curiosity — sometimes out of inertia. Sometimes because looking away would force us back into our own uninterrupted thoughts.

The machine understands this perfectly.

As long as you keep watching,
the noise never has to end.

[(NO)NPC][collaborative nonobject part11]
The loop — meme → print → jpg → nonobject → back into perception.

The nonobject doesn’t ask if something is original — it asks if it is believed.

This image already existed as a meme, then as a physical print, now again as a constructed object that never truly existed. Each state feels real enough because perception accepts continuity where none actually exists.

“I don’t want to be an NPC” is a perfect paradox. Everyone experiences themselves as the center of their own narrative, while simultaneously functioning as background character in someone else’s. Identity becomes a shifting role, not a fixed position.

The nonobject exposes this quietly.
It shows how authorship, originality, and presence dissolve once an image begins to circulate between bodies, files, and minds.

What remains is not the object, but the agreement to treat it as one.
