Lately I’ve been taking steps toward something that means a lot to me ❤️‍🩹

I was able to sit in the Amputee Rehabilitation Specialist Certification training through @ampuptee and it really changed the way I see recovery and patient care. It’s not just about physical healing—it’s about helping someone feel like themselves again.

I learned more about pre- and post-op care, prosthetic training, gait, pain management, and how to support patients through every stage of the process—but what stuck with me the most is how important it is to meet people where they are and treat them as a whole person.

This also connects so deeply with the work I’m already doing. As a medical interpreter and being involved in physical therapy settings, I’m often in the middle of really vulnerable moments—helping patients understand, feel heard, and advocate for themselves.

Being a part of this made me realize I’m not just translating words, I’m helping bridge the gap between patients and their care. Between fear and understanding. Between where they are and where they’re trying to get.❤️‍🩹
