I am so sad for the loss of my friend and shaper, Bill Hickey. I got to know Bill during production of "Great Highway" and instantly recognized his beautiful soul. We became friends and I started riding his incredible handcrafted surfboards. He was a true craftsman, as evidenced by not only his boards, but by his hands. I looked forward to our visits, to hearing his mesmerizing stories and his adorable laughter, and to his warm hugs. His complete adoration for his daughters and his family was heart warming. There will be a hole in the heart of our community with Bill gone. Thankfully we have so many wonderful memories to fill it with. I am so grateful to have known Bill, may he rest in peace. ❤️

Our friend and favorite shaper, the legendary Bill Hickey was honored this year at the Kellys Cove Reunion. Bill started shaping for Jack O’Neill when he opened the first ever “surf shop” on Ocean Beach, San Francisco. He is an unbelievably talented craftsman and a wonderful human. So much love to you Bill!💙www.greathighwaymovie.com #surfhistory #sanfrancisco #oceanbeach #oceanbeachsanfrancisco #surfing #surfer #handcraftedsurfboards #surflegends #billhickeysurfboards #coldwatersurfing

We hope everyone has had a lovely Mother’s Day! And to the knitting mamas out there, we hope it was a day spent with plenty of knitting! This beautiful photo is from our friend @ambsknits. She’s casting on Mira with @quinceandco’s gorgeous Kestrel yarn. So pretty! Thanks for sharing, Amber!
