This one is quiet, and quiet is how things like this pass.

The EEOC has proposed erasing the federal government’s own record of who employers hire and promote by race, ethnicity, and sex — the EEO-1 through EEO-6 reports — and even the requirement to keep those records. Public comments close August 24.

If you can’t count, you can’t show a pattern. And if you can’t show a pattern, it’s a lot harder to prove the disparity is there. That record matters to all of us.

The full breakdown and how to weigh in is right here — it takes about 10 minutes:

Comment by Aug 24 (link in bio) — say, in your own words, why this data matters, and share your experience.

There’s also a public hearing Aug 11; you can request to testify by Aug 7.

Then share this and tag someone who should weigh in. The comment count is public, and numbers matter.

I co-wrote the Inclusion Rider; my co-author @kalpanakotagal now sits on the EEOC and is writing about this — worth a follow.

10 minutes. Your voice on the record. We’re in this together.

Bawse energy with the Muse- Collins bunch 🫶🏽 @amuseishere @mylesneat #portraits #makeportraits

Thinking about holiday sessions already and I’m on the fence about how to offer them since many of clients are, sadly, aging out of wanting these 😭. Where do you want photos this year?

Before I became a shut-in/wife/delusional workaholic/cameo appearance, I painted this town ox blood. No club, festival or after party was safe from my appetite for a function. Love you so much LA, you made me howl at the moon and the she-wolf has DEVOURED. You may be wounded but we always have…whatever all of this was, I honestly don’t remember. #neverforget
