Why Process Goals Work:
⬇️
- They make it easier to stay consistent.

When you focus on what needs to be done today, the goal doesn’t feel so far away. You’re no longer overwhelmed by thinking about where you want to be in 5 years. Instead you’re motivated to complete the task in front of you.
•
- They reduce mental barriers.

By valuing each step of the process — whether that’s improving your training, your sleep or your workload — you’ll find it easier to stick to your plan, even when motivation dips.
Those small daily wins build self-confidence, making it less likely you’ll fall into a “what’s the point?” mindset.
•
- They improve your chances of success.

The more you focus on improving the process, the better your results will be.
For example, instead of fixating on getting a promotion, focus on:
• Delivering your best work daily.
• Taking on new responsibilities.
• Building strong connections within your team.
•
Small process improvements compound into bigger results over time ‼️
•
Process goals build progress.
And the daily wins do add up.
•
Whether you’re building muscle or building a career, progress comes from the process.
•
The dream won’t happen overnight but the way you show up today, tomorrow and the next day matters.
Focus on winning today, and the outcome will take care of itself.

Process-Focused Goals vs Outcome-Focused Goals
•
When it comes to goal setting whether it’s in bodybuilding or your career, it’s important to recognise which approach works best for you. And at times, you need a mix of both.
•
Outcome-Focused Goals (The “big picture” goals):
- I will get promoted to a senior position
- I will become an IFBB Pro
- I will drop 10kg in weight
- I will land my dream job
- I will compete for the first time
- I will earn a six-figure salary
•
For some, these big outcomes serve as powerful motivators. The vision of that end goal is what drives them to get out of bed in the morning and attack the day.
•
But for others, outcome goals can trigger negative thoughts — self-doubt, anxiety, fear of failure. That emotional weight can lead to poor performance or even self-sabotage.
•
Process-Focused Goals:
•
Instead of fixating on the outcome, process-focused goals shift your attention to the daily actions that will get you there.
•
- Improve your skill set by taking course
- Training consistency
- Spend time networking or updating your CV
- Nailing your nutrition
- Managing daily routine (steps, cardio, sleep etc).
•
The phrase “tick your boxes” is a great example of a process-focused mindset. It’s about focusing on what you can control each day, rather than obsessing over the final outcome.
•
But here’s the truth . . .
It’s not the dream that gets you there — it’s how well you execute the process.

Parties are overrated.
•
Fun is overrated.
•
Comfort is overrated.
•
Copying the habits of average-men will never give you an ABOVE-average life.
•
Embrace voluntary discomfort, because just like success, it’s the road less-traveled.
•
Stay focused, people. 💯

A few days into 23’ and I have come to the conclusion the following rules going forward🔖:
👇🏽
Always be YOURSELF ✅
No matter who you are or where you go, you will never regret just being yourself. No one is meant to please everyone and that’s fine, but if you stay true to you, you will have some genuine friends for life.

DO NOT let the past hold you back ✅
Why do we let the past let us rethink what will happen in the future? You should enter each challenge with a fresh slate with 0 expectations. You are stronger, smarter and more powerful right now reading this than you was any point prior to this moment.

ACCEPT your strengths and weaknesses ✅
Forget always thriving to be amazing, better and not carrying any negatives. Do not get caught up in comparing other peoples positive traits (or what they make out) thinking wish I could have that.
•
We all have weaknesses and insecurities but guess? You have strengths and you have all of this element and that is what makes you whole. Work in unison with every aspect of your personality, own them all. We are already complete in our own ways 🙏🏽.
•
For sure when the time is right I will come back to beat this look, more muscle and better condition but until then …
It is back to focusing on myself physically and mentally as this year becomes MY BEST YEAR YET!!
