British artist Amy Dury revisits the familiar imagery of decades past, transforming vintage photographs and family snapshots into expressive, contemporary paintings.

Drawing inspiration from the colors, fashions, and social dynamics of the 1970s and ’80s, Dury captures fleeting moments of everyday life through loose brushwork, softened details, and vibrant color. Her paintings explore the relationship between nostalgia and memory, revealing the subtle complexities beneath seemingly ordinary scenes of family, friendship, and human connection.
