Seven cities, three years and two majors later 🎓 I have a profound sense of gratitude for my time at Northwestern.

A tribute to the journey, the people and the place. From starting out entirely on Zoom and experiencing my first Midwest fall in Roscoe Village. To moving into a random Facebook sublet from NU’s Free and For Sale Page and meeting my best friend and developing an espresso addiction ;) To frigid late night walks around the lakefill, a very hot summer in the desert and spontaneously living in the Republic of Georgia for a month. To the first real fall football games and @nnn_news Tuesday shows back in the studio and moving into an old house with 11 roommates. To chasing politicians down Senate hallways, and eating “soup bread” and kouign-amanns on Saturdays. To a very rainy Dillo Day and a spring filled with milkshakes, porch swings and hammocks. To a perfect summer in Boston and so many pastries. To one last fall that flew by far too fast, @nuisbe bonfires, and deep diving Iran’s nuclear weapons program. To getting to interview new people every single day, lugging gear through the tundra (aka Madison, Wisconsin) and finding ballet again. To the final senior spring, making a documentary in a few weeks, reporting my last packages for NNN, sailing, dancing, and marching back through the arch and across the final stage.

I have never slept less nor worked harder, and yet it was so worth it.

To all those who read what I wrote about Lebanon on Facebook..thank you for making the time to read and hear me. Our struggle is what sculpts our soul. It's not always a choice what happens to us, but it is a choice how we respond.

I choose to respond with strength and empathy. I choose to learn and grow, to challenge myself and lead with compassion. I choose to rise
