It is hard to put into words how amazing the first annual Nourish Relax + Restore Retreat in Vermont was this past weekend. But I will try❤️ On Thursday evening I welcomed 13 women from 4 different states and within minutes Good Commons was filled with laughter and joy...exactly as I had pictured it. For 3 nights and 4 days we talked, laughed, cried, bonded, formed friendships, supported each other, learned, rested, relaxed, hiked, walked, napped, created, moved and nourished our bodies with theee most amazing food from Tesha, Marissa and Janelle. The foliage outside and the warmth of women congregating together inside set such a beautiful scene. I have dreamt of this retreat in my mind for so long and it was honestly everything I wanted to create for these women and more. Some women came not knowing anyone else, some came with friends...regardless we all left with 13 new friends, nourished in mind and body and restored with new vitality as we head back into our own lives today...but with new ideas, support, ways to enrich and take care of ourselves. We experienced somatic yoga, human design, herbalism, hypnotherapy, yoga nidra, time in nature, hot tub, bonfire, field trips 😀, chats on the porch, vision boards, designing charm bracelets and lots and lots of yummy food. Yesterday as one by one the women departed Good Commons, it was hard to say goodbye but also exciting to know that many will be back next year and that we will all stay in contact with bonds that grew stronger over 4 days together in VT. What I am most proud of is that more than once the women said to me how much they needed this weekend, how wonderful a group of women it was and how much they were enjoying themselves. The group of women came together very organically, most women I knew in some way whether it was from childhood, friends, local acquaintances or social media and everyone clicked so well! The noise level in the house at meal times was hysterical at times. Eveyone could not get enough connection! Pretty sure people down the street could hear us! The house must have been vibrating in the most wonderful way. Thank you to each and every woman who said YES to themselves!

Women NEED… THIS! Pure genuine interactions with one another and to be surrounded by other women who love them for who they are fully. The good, bad, and ugly. This retreat was absolutely 💯 a time I will treasure forever until the next one with new memories to just keep adding on. Where are my other women who go on or put retreats together??!! March 25, 2017 ♡ My first yoga class… but as a teacher I absolutely love what I get to do, which is seeing people for people and interacting with them as humanly as possible. It’s a trip — emotionally, physically, mentally— but it’s also such a ridiculously wonderful experience. And so, to share even a glimpse of my last NINE years as a teacher and just some of the incredible people there within it, here’s a small peek into my yogic past 🔮 #yogacommunity #yogatime #yogateacher #yogajourney #thankyou First photo headshot courtesy of @trevorbonk Second photo (2017) teaching my first class onsite ⇢ Last Photo (2026) teaching my current classes online @ompractice

This is the LAST week and LAST chance to register and join us for our annual Somatic Healing Retreat, Nov 14-16 ⏰ At our last somatic retreat we received a surprising 8” of snow - as seen in this video - and that was an added bonus we were not expecting. What did we do about it? We got outside and played in it, of course☃️ We have 2 spots left next weekend and would love you to join us! Not sure if somatic healing is for you? Read on and learn more and if this resonates👇🏻 Have you tried all the things to “release” your stored stress and trauma, but still feel stuck? Rather than thinking about how we can release our emotions, let’s instead consider how we can ~relate~ to them. When we learn to sit with our emotions, bit-by-bit in small, manageable ways, we build capacity to be with them. This is very different from viewing our emotions as a problem, something to be fixed or to try to rid ourselves of. This is helpful for many reasons, in part because this is not a one-and-done process. The sadness, anger, grief, shame, and pain you feel are purposeful and part of the human experience. When we relate instead of “release,” we affirm to our body that it’s not wrong for feeling how it feels. While an emotion itself is not something we can “release,” what we can learn to do is release, or discharge, is the energetic charge that accompanies these emotions—the adrenaline, cortisol, and other physiological responses. Discharge happens through natural expressions like tears, heat, sweating, shaking, vocalizing, and laughter. This type of release happens organically when we create the capacity and safety in our body to allow this experience. It’s through turning towards our discomfort, rather than away, that the emotions naturally unfold and transmute into something different, something life-giving. This is how you are given back your vitality and life-force energy that is otherwise being used to suppress emotions, keeping you stuck in a survival response. We can’t wait to dive deeper into this material at the Somatic Healing Retreat, this fall in the White Mountains ⛰️ Love, Amy & Jana
