Week 5 of Ériu ✨

Well, this week we had a photoshoot that I can't wait to see the results of 😍

Ériu is also officially fitting newborn clothes, she's 7 6 now and growing every day. I'm so happy she's growing but also sad to see her outgrowing her tiny baby clothes. I think I'll feel like this with every milestone!

Wind is still a big problem, I think the pain she was in last night traumatised me and Mam for life but hopefully it's uphill from here! 🤞🏼

We have, for the most part, longer sleeps at night, I'm banking 2-2.5 hours at a time through the night now 🙌🏼 and baby girl has longer wake windows during the day where she's so alert. Taking everything in! It really is amazing how much they change in such a short space of time! 🥹

As you can see, it's a family event this week 🤣 and the trusty remote control is still there! 🤣

I don't know why but it took me a long time to buy anything for the baby, at first I wanted to wait until after the 12 weeks, then I wanted to wait until I got the all clear with my blood, then it was ah I'll wait until I find out what I'm having... There was always something but I realised then I didn't want to buy just anything, I wanted the first thing I bought the baby to be something really special. It may sound irrational to most... Probably because it is 🤣 but I couldn't help it. Sooooo....

I bought this book. Anybody that knows me knows that reading is my biggest grá so naturally it had to be a book and what's more special than a book written by a friend?! I had a sneaky read when I bought it and @neilsharpson it's fantastic!! Everybody needs to buy it for their kids, hilarious and educational!! 🤩

And then there's the first gift I've received for the baby from Aunty @amycloida_m 😍 It has to be runners from the runner queen but look... Aren't they the cutest?! Can't wait for baba to wear them!

My tribe 💞

As delighted as I am to finally be pregnant, the past few weeks have been a tough ride for me. An 11 day migraine got me admitted to hospital and PGP and my endo have me in so much pain that even walking has become an issue and don't get me started on the fatigue!! You don't hear about this stuff during pregnancy so I've been stressed, worried about what all this is doing to the baby (thankfully nothing), and mad at my body. Told you... Bad few weeks, not fun for me or anyone around me!

BUT my God, my family, my friends... They are the absolute best. The support. When you're feeling crappy but wanting to be happy so bad, it's your tribe that help you find those happy moments. Laughing through the pain really is the best medicine.

I found out what I was having on Thursday and I promised my niece I'd have a little gender reveal for her but it had to be that day because, like I said in my previous post, I can't hold my water 🤣 when I told my family and friends about this, needless to say, they had to be there too... No notice, just dropped everything to be there for me. The love and excitement they all felt for me in this moment, I just needed to share it. I hope you enjoy it as much I have the 50 thousand times I watched it 🤣

Baby girl, this will be your tribe too and we're truly blessed to have them 🩷

P.s. You better believe my Mam was there too, she was just off screen with me because she knew and wasn't allowed to guess 🤣
