First time running in the dark.
First time running in the rain.
First time running a half marathon.
First time we didn’t stop once because the atmosphere carried us the whole way

I’ve always avoided running at night because of safety as I know if not all women but most do, so to go from feeling like I couldn’t safely run after dark to running 21.1km surrounded by 7,500 women and feeling completely safe is something I’ll never take for granted. There was something so incredibly powerful about that.

I genuinely couldn’t have done it without the girls running alongside me. To be surrounded by so many women, all from different walks of life, different fitness journeys and different stories, yet all coming together for this one night… there was something so incredibly special about it.

The tears, the laughs, the nerves, the motivation, the “WE’RE ACTUALLY DOING THIS” moments it’s something I don’t think I’ll ever experience in quite the same way again.

From not being able to run more than 3km at the start of last year, to standing here having just completed my first 21.1km… 🥹

And a special thank you to mel for always going along with every crazy idea I throw at her on a Monday morning when i first walk in tge door at work and somehow always being there being like kiara you’re crazy….. lets do it

What a weekend! Solo, mixed doubles and men’s doubles done. Support was unreal and just had fun out there!
