Ogden Half Marathon 2026! This was by far one of the hardest physical things I ever did. I can’t believe I did! It feels unreal! My only goal was to make it in under 3 hours and I cut it close but I did it! With the best help from Jayme and Amy. My legs had been cramping up and the next thing I knew they were screaming for me grabbing my hand and we were running. I started to give up again and then I heard everyone else start cheering me on that was the last push I needed to bring it to the end! I’m proud of myself for doing something I never thought I would be able to. Even crazier I found myself looking into Half Marathons in the Fall. So even though it was hard. I can only improve from here! 💕 Thank you to the strong women that I ran with! For motivating and getting me there and cheering me on when I needed you the most. I’m forever grateful and inspired by you all. Thank you Lord for giving me a body that can do hard things, For the beautiful trail we ran, and helping me make it through this. I’ve been emotional about this all day! Also so happy to show my girls that Mom can do hard things! I’m so very grateful! 💕🥰

“One to Watch”. I’ve been trying to find words that will adequately articulate what receiving this recognition means. “Thank you” seems too small a phrase to hold all of the happy tears and dancing that ensued after receiving this notice from @brookebschultz and @heartfulmagazine.
.
Mostly, it makes me think of the girl from 8 years ago, who was working a corporate job that was slowly draining the life out of her, who dreamed of nothing more than being able to make beautiful things with the little camera sitting on her shelf.
.
I also think of 3 year old little Marcie, who discovered her dad’s trapper-keeper and donned all of his calendar pages with drawings of people whose limbs protruded from their heads. (A sort of surprise for him to discover in his work meetings😉)
.
All of that to say, this little heart of mine has wanted nothing more from this life than to create beautiful things and release them into the world. To find the truest things in this universe and tilt the mirror just so, so that all of the madness melts away and the thing you’re left with is glimmering stardust. ✨
For every client who has allowed me into your homes, your families, your stories, and permitted me to capture that glimmering stardust, thank you.❤️
.
Thank you to Brooke and the entire Heartful team who saw something in my work worth calling out. It feels surreal to be chosen as one of the top 20 family photographers who are making waves in this industry and have my images chosen out of over 10,000 submitted. So many photographers I admire are in this magazine and I’m just so blown away to be next to them.
