POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today I bore witness to a great reading of “a guy from the Rubble” by @romanfeeser_digital — a poignant and moving one man act of a personal experience with 9/11. The vulnerability is emotional and compelling. There’s one more show tomorrow at noon in Nashville. Please see in the comments for the link. This is a donations only show and well worth it. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here! As always, my girl @bridgetberger crushed it as director. Love our city makes space for these important stories….#nashvilleactors #nashvilletheatre #vocalcoaching #nashvilletalent #aguyfromtherubble

She’s still in plastic because I have to figure out exactly where to put her—right now I see her everyday and I love that. She is my very favorite. @amypowellstudio is not only a magician when it comes to art she is a force of nature. I am grateful to have this gorgeous young women in my home…I fell in love with her the moment I laid eyes on her as she reminds me of my daughter. I am so grateful to people who make art. I have several friends in different mediums that make the most amazing pieces. Go celebrate them — in this time of utter chaos and heartache — find a moment of peace in art #artistsoninstagram #nashvilleartist #thegirlonthecanvas #artlover🎨

The 2nd sculpture workshop was Portrait Sketching in clay! We sculpted 2 four inch heads from live models each day. It was fast paced and a great learning experience. Awesome instruction, students and models. Thank you for coming to Nashville, Alicia! It’s always great to have you teach!
Alicia’s demo sculptures of each model in first photo. Scroll to see a few photos of the workshop.

Last week was all about sculpture! Alicia Ponzio started the week teaching students how to Model Drapery in Relief and create story boards out of clay. It was a great, intensive workshop and the work was amazing! Learning from Alicia is always guaranteed! Her demo and reference board in first photo.

Last month we welcomed one of our favorite instructors, Alicia Ponzio back to teach a 4 day Figure Modeling: Inspiration and Method workshop. We started by making multiple sketches of the model in clay before blocking in and modeling our 18 inch figures. Alicia is a fantastic artist and instructor and everyone learned so much and left inspired! #figuremodeling #sculpture #figuresculpture #aliciaponzio #nashville #warehouse521 #clay #claysculpture #inspiration
