About a year ago, @sophieqi45 and I got to host a summer program at @lincolncenter for the one and only @lin_manuel @warriorsalbum , which is coming to Broadway next spring! All thanks to an invitation from my beautiful NYC sis @sophieqi45 💕 Before the event, we gathered at Lincoln Center for drinks with everyone involved. Seeing so many women on Lincoln Center’s creative team left me feeling incredibly inspired.

〰️ We all know networking is important, but it's often easier said than done. Even when you spot someone you'd love to converse with, breaking the ice isn't easy, and interactions frequently end after a quick greeting and an exchange of business cards. That’s why this year, FuturaCanvas has designed a space for more genuine and direct connections. [𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻’𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻] This coffee chat begins with a question: 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒 𝐔𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐔𝐋? 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋? 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄? 𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒? Simply choose the one question you'd most like to discuss, and you'll be seated at a table with others who chose the exact same one. At that table, you’ll be joined by global and local speakers—including Tim Leberecht—alongside creators, directors, and various industry professionals. Take the opportunity to say, "I picked this question, too," to someone you might not easily meet otherwise. Conversations sparked by questions, not business cards. Perhaps there, you will discover new collaborators, fresh ideas, and relationships that endure. __ [ Day1: Leaders' Roundtable ] ☑️ The Proof of Value — Conviction in Practice 혁신가들의 가치와 신념은 어떻게 실천으로 이어지며 지속가능한 '값'이 되는가 👤 Moderator ▪️ Michelle Kim 김지윤 @may_chaella (Co-Founder & CEO / @dotplanner, Co-Founder & Executive Director / @futuracanvas.con) 👤 Speakers ▪️ Tim Leberecht @timleberecht (Co-Founder, Co-CEO / @houseofbeautifulbusiness) ▪️Yumi An King @an___yk (Founding Memember, Executive Director / Aww Inc.) ▪️Joonyub Lee 이준엽 @joonyublee (Director of Seoul / @galleryshilla) ▪️Intaek Yeo 여인택 @peaches_ryo (CEO / @peachesoneuniverse) 모두가 만들 수 있는 시대에, 결국 무엇이 나의 가치를 만들까요? 〰️ In an era where anyone can create, what ultimately defines your value? As AI rapidly replicates execution, the ability to build things "faster, cheaper, and bigger" is no longer enough to set you apart. So, what is it that truly endures? It might be a unique perspective, a meaningful relationship, or a steadfast belief you simply refused to give up on. This roundtable brings together those who have proven the worth of what they believe in within the real market. From someone who transformed their personal taste into an expansive universe, to someone who pioneered a new business through digital identity and virtual humans. What did they fiercely protect? When did they choose to compromise? And how did they ultimately translate their core values into market "value"? Join us as we explore the real-world choices and experiences of turning a strong belief into a great business. 🔗 Connect with Global Leaders : Link in Bio ________________ 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐚𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🖲️ 𝐎𝐜𝐭 𝟏-𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦-𝐋 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐥, 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚 #FuturaCanvas2026 #퓨추라캔버스 #PlatformL #TheNewProtocol #새로운규약 #HumanValue #인간가치 #CreatorSovereignty #크리에이터생태계 #CollectiveIndustry #공동창조 #ArtAndTech

Seeing incredible young talent @aquilasol and @ryo_kamibayashi at our queen @sophieqi45’s palace. We talked and talked until 3am. The best part was having my childhood bestie of 30 years, @saoriyokoo, right next to me. Back in the Hamptons with @sophieqi45 and @frank.wildhorn. Meeting the creative team behind @theshedny. I honestly can’t describe how in awe I was of their innovative mindset. Fun night strolls with @ryuta_aoki_ and @grahamphillips. And what are the odds of being on the same flight back from NYC to HND with my work daughter @saragiustoo on my personal flight.

On July 11, @ryuta_aoki_ spoke at the international forum SPLASH – Soft Power Forum @splash.thacca held in Bangkok. The event was organized by THACCA – the Thailand Creative Culture Agency @thaccaofficial , a newly established national body under the Thai government. This initiative positions the cultural and creative industries at the core of the national strategy. THACCA was created to advance Thailand’s soft power globally, and SPLASH was launched as its flagship event. Policy makers, artists, entrepreneurs, designers, and researchers—primarily from across Asia—were invited to engage in multifaceted discussions on the potential of soft power. The program featured a diverse and inspiring lineup of speakers, including former Prime Ministers of Thailand, senior officials from the Ministry of Culture, internationally recognized creators, and from Japan, m-flo and teamLab. At THACCA’s request, Ryuta Aoki curated and produced one of the sessions. He organized and moderated the main stage session titled “Weaving Futures from Tradition: Learning from Japanese Art & Tech”, selecting the speakers and shaping the discussion. In this session, Aoki was joined by @emiksn @yumian___ (@aww.tokyo @imma.gram ) and @yutita55 (@archihatch ) to explore how Japanese traditions and contemporary culture can be interpreted through technology to help shape the culture of the future. Additionally, through connections built during last year’s residency program, Aoki introduced THACCA to the National Asia Culture Center @asianculturecenter This introduction led to the ACC’s new president being invited to speak in another session at SPLASH. #THACCA #SPLASH2025 #thaccasplash2025

going through my camera roll from trips in the past 6 months & realizing so much has happened & there are still so many moments of joy to celebrate in the midst of worldly chaos & subsequent dumpster fires of grief, thereby prompting: TOKYO DUMP #1. 🍙 A Very Tokyo “You threw in the magazine. Its cover billowing, flames page by page reviewed it that the fire was itself impressed. And we? Warmed too like bystanders enjoying the crackle and the animation, arms flailing away, of a talk they cannot catch the meaning of, then slowly, arm in arm, the speakers disappearing in the twilight. For some time after, though dark looked more and more through puffy embers, the glamor of that conversation sparkled up and down our minds, some few words flying still, fat ashy birds out of a night-bedoubled stand of trees. It is all folded many times over like our little Japanese maple that is wrapt up in its foliage. We wonder how for such huge crowd, a very Tokyo, it breathes. It’s no surprise the leaves must keep such quiet.” - Theodore Weiss
