Save a little taste of summer for winter: let’s make homemade garden pesto 💚

Put on your favorite YouTube channel, take your time, and enjoy the process!

Ingredients:

* ~4 cups fresh basil leaves
* 1 cup extra virgin olive oil (as needed)
* ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan
* ½ cup organic pine nuts
* 3–4 garlic cloves
* Salt to taste
* A squeeze of fresh lemon juice (optional)

Directions:

1. Harvest your basil, remove the tough stems, and wash the leaves thoroughly. Pat dry or use a salad spinner.
2. Add the olive oil, basil, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan to a food processor.
3. Blend until you reach your desired consistency, adding more olive oil if needed.
4. Season with salt to taste and add a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
5. Transfer to freezer-safe airtight containers, leaving a little room for expansion, and freeze for later.

Don’t let the last of your garden basil go to waste! Save this simple recipe for later. 💚
