Benajarafe 2025. The fluidity of the wash.
What started as the dream of a small group turned into something unforgettable — days of painting, connection, and shared beauty in the heart of Andalucía.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who made this workshop so special.
Especially to @neli_moral and Toñi for creating such a soulful, beautiful space, and made me feel home!

Also thanks to @todoart and @roubloff_global for your generous support and amazing gifts for the participants!

Watercolour Month is coming to an end — and what a month it’s been!
This workshop in Benajarafe was the perfect way to celebrate it. I truly can’t thank you enough for making it happen.

And though International Watercolour Month is nearly over, there’s a lot more to come…
Next up: the RBSA Watercolour Prize exhibition — Private View on August 7th — and straight after that I’ll be heading to Hanover to visit @pepasalasvilar studio and prepare new work.
Keep your eyes peeled

I’ll leave you now with this painting of Benajarafe

Today we had the privilege to talk to Nando Lopez, an important Spanish writer whose books are full of interesting stories and among their characters Lgtb people are included as a way to make them visible and normalize what it should be normal.
He told us about "The age of the anger", a book which was finalist in the prestigious Planeta awards and will become a Netflix series very soon.
Marcos, main character in the book, kills his father with a typewriter, nobody understands what has happened and Santiago, a journalist, decides to look into it so as to to find out the reasons of such a terrible murder.
We had a very entertaining debate about the many topics appearing in the book: homophobia, racism, bullying, friendship, empathy, love, violence, education etc.
A pleasure to talk to the author of such an interesting book that makes us think about our role in society.
Was Marcos guilty? Are we all guilty? Are we victims?
A real-page turner and a must read book.
Our hearty thanks to Nando. A charismatic and prolific author whose books are worth reading.Don't miss them!
