FELIX FINDS HIS POLISH by Eric Rosswood (@ericrosswood) and Nathalia Takeyama (@natztak) is out in the world this week! 🎨

About this joyful story:
Felix loved his bright new nails. But what would everyone else think?

When Felix paints a picture at school, he enjoys himself so much that he dabs colors on his fingernails too. But he instantly feels anxious about how his classmates and teacher will react, especially since a special guest is coming to their classroom. When his friends assure him that fingernails can be a beautiful canvas for artistic expression, Felix shares his creations with pride—including with the visiting firefighter, who has a creative surprise of his own.

An activity in the back of the book lets all kids explore painting their nails too! 💅🏼

This colorful story about courage, creativity, and being your authentic self from Beaming Books (@beamingbooksmn) pubs on October 6 and is available for preorder now! 📚

We have some bittersweet news: the amazing Jennifer Mattson will be leaving ABLA to pursue new opportunities. She leaves a lasting mark on all of us and we are vigorously cheering her on as she embarks on a new journey.

Jennifer has been a literary agent at ABLA for the past 18 years. During that time she has represented incredible authors and illustrators including many award-winners, bestsellers, and best books of the year. Known to her agency sisters for her graceful and gracious demeanor, “Jmatt” is universally praised by her colleagues for writing the absolute best emails. For the past two years she has also served as ABLA’s Contracts Director, leading our team and clients with integrity and diplomacy.

Most of all, our agency has appreciated Jennifer’s wise, thoughtful presence as a rudder of ABLA’s ship. We cheer her on to her next adventure, and will always be so grateful and appreciative of what she brought to ABLA. We are forever changed as an organization by all she brought to us.
