GRADUATION PART THREE

Hair and cap are v important. My cap is a goddamn meme and a great representation of who I am. Now HCC is a part of that, too. I'm so thankful that I accidentally went there back in 2016 and that I have 2 great years to show for it. I'm excited for what comes next and I will always keep HCC in a very special place in my heart ❤ #holyokecc18

Story time! (I don’t know how to write a short caption about these boys). I first discovered @anarbor on MySpace. They instantly became a favorite of mine. I used to talk to them on AIM and leave comments begging for them to come to San Diego. I called in to online radio shows to ask them questions. I had them on my top 8. I was HOOKED. I finally got to meet them in the fall of 2008 at a festival, but wasn’t able to see them play until the Take Action Tour the following spring. I wish you could have seen the excitement on my face when they hit the stage. That same excitement I get almost a decade later. I remember standing outside of Warped Tour in 2010 watching them through the fence and jamming along because I was running late, but couldn’t miss them. I literally ran to the stage after their set just to say hi. I’ve seen these boys through all of their band member changes and the period of time we thought we’d never hear from them again. From side projects to acoustic sets and drastic style changes. When we lost Tyler, I instantly knew that I needed to be there to love on these boys. I never hesitated to make the trip out to AZ to support them. I HAD to be there because my heart was hurting so much for them. They are quite literally my family and I’ll always be here to support them and love on them, through all of the highs and lows that life brings. I’m just so incredibly grateful that they are in my life. Blessed is an understatement. I’m so so excited to see what this new album (still in the works) is going to do for them. Excited for them to get back out on the road and spread their music to new fans and the old ones that have been following them on this journey as well. I could probably go on forever about them and my love for them and why they are incredible. But I’ll leave you with this essay of a post instead. Love you all to bits. Keep doing your thing, creating music you love, sharing your hearts with the world. The future is a bright one, keep reaching for those stars! 💘✨
P.S. I know it’s a blurry, edited Polaroid photo, but I just love that I was able to visit with my boys in AZ while I was in town. Thank you for letting me crash the meeting! 😁
