You named it.
We didn’t.

“THE BOMB.” 💣

Mlo’s homemade treatment.
Hand-whipped.
Protein infused.
Essential oils.
Sulfate-free.
Bond building.
And OBSESSED over before it ever touches your hair.

This isn’t something we order.
This isn’t something everyone has.

This is CUSTOM🔥
Small batch.
Made with intention.

And the shine?
The softness?
The strength?

It’s actually insane.

And honestly…

This might be the first official formula of
House of Mlo. 👀✨⚡️

Limited. Luxury. Legendary.

My abuelito (el sheriff) 🕊️
Monday God welcomed the fiercest soldier into heaven. Abuelo your courage has conditioned our family to who we are today, without you I wouldn’t be standing here today. Thank you for teaching us to follow what you believe in, be confident in everything you do, and live life with resilience. If you ever knew my grandfather or his story it’s one that truly influences everyone around him.
God’s timing is a funny thing given the miracles he’s blessed my abuelo with. Abuelo was apart of the Brigade 2506 as a radio telegrapher. He was wounded in combat and left for dead. Castro sentenced him to death and an hour before his execution was saved once again. Which was later commuted to 30 years in prison. He served 18 years in the jail of the dictatorship, where he suffered beatings and torture for maintaining his status as a planted political prisoner. Seriously injured by a bullet in the chest, he survived despite attempts to let him die in the hospital. Abuelo and the rest of my family resided in the U.S. once released!
What he loved in his life…
- To watch every single movie at the theaters
- Frank Sinatra “My way” especially
- Making sure everyone cheered their drinks at the table “Salud!!”
- My abuela 🤍
- Smoking his cigars with a whiskey in hand
- Handing out pens with the brigade on it
- The full course experience: appetizer, entree, dessert, and of course his cafecito
- Taking pictures on his camera and bringing them back at the next event printed in a sealed envelope with your name on it
- Showing off his battle wound
- Calling my name by any means necessary “CAROOO”
- Celebrating his culture with his loved ones
- He loved us so much.
My grandfather fought to the very end of his life, one of his last words being “yo voy a manejare mañana.” He wouldn’t have done it any other way but ONLY his way. I’ll miss you Abuelo, I love you with my whole heart. Thank you for always making me smile and protecting us at all costs🤍🙏🏽🇨🇺

(He would definitely lecture me on why I didn’t write this in Spanish)
