It’s officially October, so it’s officially time for our pumpkin buns! We don’t mess around with these beauties- we add pumpkin to the dough and the filling, we make our own perfect pumpkin spice blend, we candy our pecans that top the buns and they really give serious fall vibes!

Come by tomorrow to the @proctorfarmersmarket, let us warm one for you to eat as you check out all the other wonders of the best farmers market ever!

Happy Birthday, Thea! Another fun year in the books! Couldn’t imagine a better friend or business partner than you- thanks for your friendship, the care and work you put into our little bakery and for your patience with me! I’d say we’re doing a damn good job, right?

Hope to see everyone tomorrow at the @proctorfarmersmarket - we have all the buns- the normal ones, the seasonal ones, and especially the ones we hope put smiles on your sweet faces!!!

After a hot bake day there is nothing quite like a little celebratory cold beverage in the walk-in fridge! 😆

We hear that tomorrow will be a cooler day in the PNW and that brings us all a little joy- clouds and a cool morning sound perfect!

The blackberry buns are back this week for the first time this year- so don’t miss out! We will also be away next week- so this is your week to come to the @proctorfarmersmarket and indulge on all the wonders of a great farmers’ market. We are super fruit focused this time of year- we have the last week of strawberry buns, another week of raspberry lemon, rhubarb custard and blueberry buns and once again our blackberry buns are back with berries from @spoonerfarmspuyallup !

Come say hi!

How blessed of a week it was touring with the wonderful Creaturess. What a special time we shared together with new and old friends, making music together every night. I can't wait to do it again but bigger.

What a truly special, magical weekend at Cascadian Midsummer !!
Thank you to the organizers for creating such a beautiful and welcoming event and to everyone who came to spend the weekend in the forest. And a really special thank you to Frankie and Ada who joined me during my set to sing some of my favorite Latvian midsummer songs 🖤

It has been a busy past few weeks, and Hawk Avalon is nearly ready to receive you all for the event season ahead! Thank you, dear friends, for helping us give the land the love it truly deserves and for being such good company! Our family of owls even blessed us with songs at blue hour in the forest. 💙🦉We are tired, but our mossy hearts are happy.

This evening we are all feeling gratitude for our couches amongst other things like family, friends, community, health and food. Bake days are long- so much standing, then walking two steps and then standing some more. Did we mention standing? Despite all the fun energy in the kitchen- the jokes, the banter, the commiserating, the singing, it is so nice to put the last pan of buns in the oven, finish the last dish, mop the last square of floor and get home to be horizontal for a little bit. Simple pleasure, right!?

Fret not, tomorrow morning we’ll be able to stand again, just in time to see your beautiful faces at the @proctorfarmersmarket - we’ll have all the buns and we’ll be making waffles with our homemade rhubarb jam. See you soon! ❤️
