happy valentine’s day to my dear friends, you all are the love of my life 💘 this memory lane includes:
1. in Kassel (2017) with @vappv @annivenalainen @anateema & @annacarolinajensen. everyone looks so calm and content.
2. with my friend Teemu in Hydra (2018). he is currently elsewhere and I miss him a lot.
3. a gathering for feminist curators (2018) in Helsinki. so many lovely people who I haven’t properly seen in a year or so. but it makes me happy to know you are out (t)here.
4. @raimosaarinen & @annacarolinajensen in Mexico (2019), half in sun and half in shade. this tender photo/memory is my happy place.
5. a photo of Concentric Growth by Louise Bourgeois. shapes which share the same centre.

The second ‘Space Invaders – Revolution’ in 2014 coincided with Aalto’s departure from Pori to Otaniemi. For years the venue, ‘Autotalo’, had served as a studio space for many of the MA students but at the time had already been mostly emptied. The massive building didn’t have heating, fully functioning electricity and some of the heaters had exploded during the winter. This was the beginning of our love affair with empty, abandoned and barely inhabitable buildings. SI2 was mainly supported by the Aalto University, the city of Pori and we again collaborated with @t.e.h.d.a.s.ry and their PERF14 program.

Our second project in 2013 introduced the semi-fictional foundation that became @porinkulttuurisaato. ’The Sponsor’ explored art, its price and economy, and different modes of support. The main exhibition venue was a private residence in the city center of Pori and the program consisted of various interventions in the public space simultaneously to SuomiAreena and the Pori Jazz festival.

On the occasion of the FIAC week, Institut finlandais is happy to support the participation of Titanik to Salon de Normandy by The Community. Salon de Normandy by The Community is a gathering of an international community of galleries, exhibition spaces, projects, fashion collectives, art publishers, and experimental music labels.
At Salon de Normandy Titanik, which is located in the heart of Turku, Finland, presents three intense individual performances as well as an intimate installation created in one of the unrenovated hotel rooms at Normandy Hôtel. The installation, consisting of individual works, includes video, text and photography, as well as textile, sculptural and conceptual elements. Titanik is represented at Salon de Normandy by artists Noora Isoeskeli, Antti Jussila, Jari Kallio, Hertta Kiiski, Antti-Juhani Manninen, Kristiina Mäenpää and Antti Turkko.
Salon de Normandy by The Community will take place from the 17 to 20th October, during the FIAC week across the different spaces of the 150 years old historic Normandy Hôtel located next to the Louvre. Check the whole programme at http://thecommunity.io/salondenormandy.
