“Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy, for good friends are like the anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God’s presence” Proverbs 27:9-10

A reminder that true friendship is a gift from God. And faithful friends are a glimpse of God’s love and kindness🤍

Ana here! 👋☺️ TESTIMONY TIME: it's been a whole month since Easter Spectacular & I want to share about how God doesn't let anything go to waste when you surrender it to Him.

Many of you know that I work as a makeup artist, but I actually started out with SFX makeup initially. At 15, I used to stay up all night playing with prosthetics & fake blood, painting my face & watching countless videos. The last time I did anything SFX related was around Covid time for "halloween."

But, since coming back to church, I haven't played much with it, primarily out of concern of what others would think (which sounds lame but it's true).

Since coming to Planetshakers 2 years ago, God put it deeply on my heart to serve in the makeup department for the theatre, (I was itching to do so but I had to wait 2 years for the next production 😅).

So, when Pastor @chelsinikkerud reached out, saying she was in need of artists who knew SFX it felt like a full circle moment.

Here, I got to pick up something I laid down years ago, but this time for the glory of God.

Something that started as a means of escapism and a coping mechanism is now used as an act of worship.

I remember Pastor @jerryflowers.jr speaking about how God will take those talents we have & use them in a way we never thought of that will bring Him glory when we surrender them to Him.

And, I'm seeing that in my life consistently.

Even the little things.

So, this is my little testimony and encouragement that nothing goes to waste in the hands of God.

Those skills, talents & crafts you developed in times of darkness will be used as tools to shine His light.

♡ "God, your God, will restore everything you lost; he'll have compassion on you; he'll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered." - Deuteronomy 30:3

♡ "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

more photos & BTS to come.
