From our first memories of Salsa to the places where we learned to dance, we came together this past Thursday to share the stories and experiences that connect us.

We explored the art of improvisation in dance, dove into Salsa’s rich history and celebrated how this dance continues to bring people, cultures and communities together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the last day of Hispanic Heritage month for an evening of storytelling, learning and connection. Every story adds to the rhythm and every dance carries a piece of Salsa’s legacy.

Here is to keeping the stories alive!

✨ A SOLD-OUT SILVERMAN NIGHT AT ART HOUSE PRODUCTIONS! 🎭

SILVERMAN was proud to bring together residents, commercial tenants, and @andcowork members for a night at @arthouseproductions in support of the arts and their incredible work!

We rented the entire theater for the musical RENT and received an overwhelming response. Over 60 seats were filled for an unforgettable evening celebrating creativity, resilience, and community that included a cocktail reception!

Thank you to @the.ms.jackson , Director of Community Relations at SILVERMAN, for working closely with the Art House Productions team to market, coordinate, and bring this evening to life.

Special Thank You to:
SILVERMAN host for the evening Mr. Raymond Avila,@cangianosjerseycity for the delicious refreshments and @madameclaudewine for a great selection of wines and @njbeerco that everyone enjoyed!

Most importantly Thank You to brothers, Paul and Eric Silverman for seeing the value in the arts, building neighborhoods and investing in the people, partnerships, and places that make our community special.

🏙️CITY CONVERSATIONS IS BACK!
What does a thriving arts ecosystem actually require—and what role do each of us play in building it?

Join the Jersey City Arts Council on Monday, October 19 for our next City Conversation: Building a Thriving Arts Ecosystem Together. A strong arts ecosystem is about more than funding. It requires collaboration, trust, shared infrastructure, civic investment, and a collective commitment to ensuring artists and cultural organizations can thrive.

Building on JCAC’s newly refined mission to advance and cultivate Jersey City’s arts and cultural ecosystem, this conversation will bring together voices from across our creative community to explore what it takes to build an arts ecosystem that is resilient, equitable, connected, and sustainable.

🎤 SPOTLIGHT ARTIST
Millicent “Millie” Ansah - 2026 JCAC Individual Artist Fellowship Recipient

📅 Monday, October 19, 2026
⏰ 7:00 PM
📍 Andco Grove

201 Montgomery St., Jersey City
Whether you’re an artist, arts worker, cultural organization, business leader, civic partner, policymaker, or someone invested in Jersey City’s creative future, we invite you to be part of the conversation.

Because a thriving arts ecosystem isn’t built by any one organization or institution. We build it together.

🎟️ RSVP and join the conversation! [LINK IN BIO]
Special thanks to our sponsors @andcowork and @silvermanbuilding for supporting this important community dialogue.
