Some people take photos. Frank captured life.

Frank the photo wiz, a living legend, and without a doubt the coolest senior citizen I know.

I first met Frank at Ungdomshuset during a rave nearly 20 years ago. He was walking around with his distinctive big bushy white beard, a cap on his head, and a camera permanently in his hands. He stood out immediately. Not just because he literally could have been everybody’s grandpa, but because he had this effortlessly cool aura about him. He somehow managed to be the oldest guy in the room while having the youngest spirit.

I remember helping him up on stage so he could get the shots he wanted without getting swallowed by the mosh pits. He ended up taking some amazing photos of me, the crew, and the rave.

Not long after, we ran into each other again over a few beers after another rave. That’s when I found out Frank used to draw illustrations of my father for Ekstra Bladet’s sports section when my pops was boxing back in the 70s and 80s.

Life has a funny way of coming full circle. Years earlier, Frank had documented my father’s journey with a pencil. Now he was documenting mine with a camera.

From that night on, I told Frank he was always welcome wherever I went.

And he came.

Always with his trusty camera in hand.

I tried more than once to pay him for the incredible photos he took over the years, but he always refused.

“I’ve got my pension. I don’t need money. I need experiences.”

So experiences are exactly what he got.

Together we shared countless raves, festivals, concerts, parties, road trips, backstage moments, and unforgettable nights. Frank had an incredible eye for capturing the moments that mattered, a genuine love for people, and a childlike curiosity that never faded.

Much love, my old friend. It was great seeing you again yesterday, still with that old trusty camera in hand, still pushing, still smiling, and still living life to the fullest. 🖤📸

A photographer. A raver. An artist. A friend. A legend. An honorary grandfather. Forever young at heart. 🖤📸

Always at the club, always with camera in hand, always ready to RAVE

Frank even invited me and the crew over to his crib for a Lam dinner. We sur

…about last night 🎶🥃

In the past two year or sum’ I’ve been making a documentary about one of the most legendary and O.G rappers we have here in Denmark - @det_johnson_baby

Last night I wrapped up film at @jellingmusikfestival where the crew just made the MOST THIGHT GIG EVER 🔥 What a night 🤭

The documentary will be out…. When I’m done with it 😅 A three part series covering studio sessions in Atlanta, Copenhagen and then this huge performance last night!

The best thing a bout this is not the work in it self, it’s the family around Marc, the crew around him from musicians to tattoo artist, and the fact that this has evolved to a friendship 🫶 This is not the last project you’re going to see from us 😂🤭💪
