Introducing our first DJ ~ La Rumba 👯‍♀️

“La Rumba” – a Latino slang term used to describe where the party’s at – is the name given by Venezuelan-born, UK-raised, Román to his night in Sheffield which has
spread its wings to Leeds, Barcelona, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, the French Alps, and most recently to London following a move to the UK capital.

Tickets in bio 🔗

This Solidarity Sessions is extra special for La Rumba, who broke out at The Harley back in 2017 before expanding into the Sheffield scene to sell out Yellow Arch, Hope Works, Dyrad works and more. This first gig at The Harley began as an exploration into global dancefloor culture, seeing La Rumba go onto host many legends in their respective scenes as cutting-edge selectors at the top of their game.

After hosting the likes of Seun Kuti, Dele Sosimi and Nubiyan Twist on the live stage; to Mr. Scruff, Channel One, Optimo, Midland and Shanti Celeste in the club, La Rumba is now available for DJ bookings and stage curated takeovers.

Previous guests include Mungo's Hifi, Horse Meat Disco, Mr Scruff, Rumbi Tauro, Apricot Ballroom, Franz Von, Fuji Speedway and Amadou and Mariam.
