One of the most rewarding parts of what we do doesn’t come at the edit stage, it happens right here.

Behind the camera. In the moment. Watching students step into their confidence and realise they can do this. 🎬

This clip on location with @stcolumbascollege captures something we care deeply about. Filmmaking in schools isn’t about polished performances or getting everything “right first time”. It’s about the process.

Giving young people the space to explore, experiment, collaborate, and find their voice , which, really, mirrors what great education is all about: creating environments where students can thrive.

Amazing team on this one: @joshhine @andi.thompson @macybfilms @trixierrose @ranaldlloydwilliams @watsonaudio #videoproduction #filmproduction #schoolvideo

Kicking off 2026 with a nod to 2025 ❄️

One of the final projects we wrapped before the Christmas break, and a fitting one, given we’re still deep in winter.

A Winter Escape for The Four Seasons Hampshire was a beautiful way to close out the year for the Refine Films team.

The creative approach focused on Wes Anderson–inspired wides, paired with intimate close-ups and elevated through thoughtful sound design. Shot over two days alongside Jessica Walker and her team, we worked closely to capture the atmosphere, detail and calm of the hotel in winter.

Alongside the winter film, we also captured the festive styling around the property, creating a Christmas edit ready for use this December.

No flashy camera moves, no over-editing, just considered framing that lets the hotel do the talking.

Here’s to more projects like this in 2026 ✨

Here’s a little peak behind the process of Pay In 30 Days, some side by side comparisons of my storyboards with the final result. 🙌

I always draw boards before we shoot a frame, because it lets me edit the film in my head first, map the rhythm and find of the spine of every scene before I step on set.

This short was a huge team effort and seeing these crude little sketches come to life is one of the best things about film making.

If you’ve ever chased a late payment this one is for you ✊🏼

We premiered last week at the BFI and we’re planning festival and community screenings next, so come watch, vent, and plot your revenge against all the companies and clients who turned net 30 into net someday.

Big love to all the cast and crew who made it happen and to everyone who came to watch last Friday 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
