I had an amazing time hanging with old friends and meeting new ones!! Can't wait for the next event!!

Listen, the world is a lot right now, but it was so nice to be around book besties and all things bookish for a few hours. LOL at the stretch my little T-Rex arms had to stretch to fit all of us in that picture, but we did it!! It was also such an exciting surprise to see @alexismaragold (look at that character art!! 😍😍). And of course getting to see THE @harperhawthorne is always amazing! Plus, I got to end my day hanging out with Susannah, @cayleighfmc, @katiethekindlequeen, and @camillewolfewood at @brightsidebooksandwine. It was the perfect bookish day and I am forever grateful to Susannah for introducing me to all of these humans.

Our first ever Book Bestie Retreat honestly exceeded my expectations. I knew there would be bonding, bookish, mountains and of course woolly worms but I didn’t expect it to be so… pure? We really are just a bunch of girls who read and sometimes have a hard time making friends as adults.

The way everyone was so real, accepting and open to people being themselves was really cool to experience. Putting 20 girls in one place for 4 days can in fact be healing and beautiful. Thanks for going to a mountain fest literally dedicated to caterpillars, allowing for quiet reading time and also hyping up the vibes when we were all running on maybe 5 hours of sleep.

In case you had no idea that I do this… let me tell you about our in person bookish retreats!

🩵 I now offer in person book themed meetups

🩵 These are open to anyone from anywhere!

🩵 We focus on book clubs, connection, outdoor adventures and taking time for ourselves to just be girls again.

🩵 Each retreat will have a theme and a romantasy book focus as well as a book club discussion. This retreats book was Queen of Roses by @briarboleynauthor

🩵 All food, ground transport and lodging are covered so literally you just have to come relax.

🩵 These are spaces for me to meet all of you but it’s also a space to make lifelong friends and actually meet genuine people in the bookish space which truly is so hard!!

We have 2 more retreats coming up this year and we’re already planning some bangers for 2026! Let me know where you want me to come and what kinds of things you’d like to see on retreats in the future! Any questions? Ask away!!
