During my six-week journey to the Philippines 🇵🇭my second home, I felt an even deeper connection to my roots. The breathtaking landscapes, from white sandy beaches to stunning lime stones reflected the beauty I’ve always associated with the Philippines. Once again this trip was an emotional and unforgettable experience.
I’m so glad that Henry enjoyed his first time in the Philippines and had a positive experience with the culture and our family. It was so heartwarming to see him and also Robin connect with that part of my heritage. It’s where I truly feel at home, surrounded by a culture defined by respect, hospitality, and an undeniable zest for life. What I often miss in Germany🇩🇪 is this genuine warmth and humanity—a heartfelt smile, the appreciation for small gestures, and the way people genuinely support one another.
Returning to Germany feels like stepping into a different world🌍, and adjusting is never easy.
Thank you all once again for your hospitality, the good food, the family bonding, for the time we spent together, for your thoughtful gifts - for everything!!! 🫶
Hope to see you all very very soon! Mahal kita ❤️
The Philippines will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️as it feels more like home than anywhere else.
