Welcome back, Woolaroo. 🐑♻️

Wool has been keeping people warm through the elements for generations, but somewhere along the way, much of the industry traded the real thing for synthetic petrochemicals (aka plastic), but we chose the real thing.

Woolaroo is our exceptionally soft, naturally warm fleece made from 100% recycled wool, milled in Italy with our friends at @manteco_official –  a family-run company that has been perfecting circular wool since the 1940s.

After two beautiful days hiking the Wildside Trail on Flores Island last weekend, we wrapped up by each sharing one word to describe the experience. The words that stood out were silly, fulfilled and connection — and honestly, those perfectly capture the heart of this trip and the goal behind hosting overnight events.

This was our second annual Wildside hike, and it felt so special. From lush forest floors filled with old growth roots to sandy coastlines, the trail is rugged, rewarding, and absolutely beautiful the entire time. We lucked out with perfect August weather~ sunshine, no fog, and a sky full of stars.

At Cow Bay, we set up our MEC Nano Lite chairs immediately, gazed out at the ocean, shared dinner, conversation, tarot readings, and ended the night under the stars before tucking into our MEC tents. In the morning, we sipped coffee, strolled the beach, and even made friendship bracelets thanks to the @allandextra bead kit.

On our way back about halfway back to the trailhead, we faced an unexpected injury — but watching the group rally together was such a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. The outdoors is full of unknowns, but when you’re with the right group, you are safe.

Huge thank you to everyone who joined, and to our fearless (and Oreo loving) leader @bryannabradleyphotography for being the so supportive, fun and capturing the event. Thank you @mec for supporting this event and offering THE best ocean tailgate possible. Thank you @keen for outfitting us in hiking shoes. Thank you @kulacloth + @sunbum for the goodies. And shoutout to @jessssleb for the beautiful morning stretch and holding space for everyone. Thank you @naas_imyis_axa for all your support with planning.

We’re so grateful for this community. Until next year! We are already cooking up something fun ;) oh and thank you to MOSSELLE - we love you.

WOW! Ocean Go Fish Event #2 complete!
@xtratuf @tofinooceanadventures

We lucked out this past Saturday with gorgeous weather and incredible Coho Salmon fishing in the inlet. Each person had the chance to reel in a fish, and the energy on the boats was magnetic—the water was calm, and the fishing was amazing!
You never know with events what you will get, all you can hope for is that things run smooth, everyone feels good and that the weather is nice and we definitely had that!
This group was literally wanting to do everything on their own it was awesome — run gear, reel in fish and even net the fish too! That’s one of the many amazing things about women—once we learn one thing, we want to learn everything! Haha

It warms my heart that most people decided to join this adventure alone and now have created some beautiful friendships out of it.

Again so beyond grateful to our amazing guides @tofinooceanadventures @neve.abraham @fishonjontofino @wardowestfishing and big thank you again to @kempt for joining and supporting leading!

Thank you for keeping us hydrated @wa.terwat.erw.ater @tofinobrewco and thank you @alex.beebe for feeding us!

Thank you of course @xtratuf we will never get over how cool it is for this many women to be out fishing all in matching boots.

Huge thank you to @bryannabradleyphotography for these amazing pictures!!

Let’s do it again next year?

“Seeing the forest for the trees” is an idiom that means being able to understand the overall situation without getting bogged down by the details. It suggests that sometimes, people can become so focused on individual elements or specifics (the trees) that they lose sight of the bigger picture (the forest). Essentially, it’s a reminder to maintain perspective and not let minor aspects obscure the broader context, bigger picture and what matters most.

Reflecting on our first Guided Forest Therapy Walk last night, it was lovely to explore with everyone and be connected within the community. We truly appreciate the openness, vulnerability and kind hearts it takes to show up. The purpose of this event is to create a safe space for you to find stillness during the craziness. We decided to do this series in the midst of summer as summer can be really hard to keep up with! Sometimes summer just happens and we’re like woah, where did it go. This is a nice reminder “forest ~ for rest” to slow down, choose rest and be able to grow through what you’re going through.

Our next walk is on August 19th 6pm - 8pm. Supported again by @plantoflifeco
Join us and help spread the word, bring a friend or two – the more, the merrier! Open to anyone interested.
