Flock Day 2 (Saturday) Part 1:

THANK YOU! I was absolutely in awe of how many people showed up wearing or knitting one of my patterns. I didn’t even get to capture all of them, but here’s a few of those very special moments. You guys, it really means more than you’ll ever know. If you wore one of my patterns this weekend, I’m forever grateful. 💕

Shown in these photos: Ravenna Sleeveless (both tank and button-down), Ravenna Top (short sleeve pullover), The Brunch Crew, and an Anacortes Pullover WIP!

Also, tags are being wonky and a couple of these didn’t want to stick. I’m assuming it’s user privacy settings but if that’s not the case, let me know and I’ll try again!

Meet some of the Ravenna Sleeveless testers! 🥰

I’m so honored to have worked with each and every one of my testers, and as per usual, they knocked it out of the park. Please join me in admiring all of their beautiful versions of the Ravenna Sleeveless, in both the button-down and tank-top versions.

I’m so thankful to everyone who helped me get this pattern across the finish line. Thank you! 😘

Testers: please let me know if I missed any tags!

2 steps forward, 1 step back.

If you’ve watched my latest podcast on YT, then you know I’ve been in a state of trial and error with the sleeve cap for my Ravenna (sleeved) pattern. Well, this is trial number 3 and we still aren’t there yet, but we’re closer!

What I love about designing knitting patterns is that it feels like a puzzle. But sometimes, it feels like one of those 10,000 piece puzzles where every piece is the same color and multiple pieces could fit into one another. 😅

I’ve increased the depth of the sleeve cap to about 2” which gives good coverage over the shoulder, though I have a bit more fabric up top than I would like. I’m going to take a break and flip through some of my books to determine if I should adjust the length of the sleeve cap to be longer, if I need less sts overall for less fabric, or both.

It’s also been a busy week, so my best plan of action might just be to step away and go enjoy some springtime sunshine. My dad is in town as we’re helping him (hopefully) close on a new home out here, so there’s a lot in the works!

Hoping everyone is enjoying some nice transitional weather on this fine Saturday. 🌸🌺
