Tonight was special experience 🫶🏼
We drove to Ohio State to watch Andre Roberts play soccer. We came across a video of Andre talking about Alopecia and soccer about a month ago and I reached out to Andre on instagram and he messaged to my surprise and was so kind and welcoming. We knew we needed to get Max to one of his games.

Tongith we saw Max light up in a way we haven’t since his diagnosis.

After the game a woman came up to me asking if max had Alopecia. It was Andre’s mom. We talked and she hugged me and added me on social media and told her to reach out if I ever needed anything. She told me to follow her and she’d get max to Andre after the game but max had already V lined for Andre and was talking with him while we were still 40 feet away.

We met his mom and dad and they were such nice people! Yes I cried.
My momma heart is so happy. I wish we lived closer to come to every game. I love seeing Max’s beautiful bald head not hiding behind a hat ❤️❤️❤️. Thanks Andre for making all my kiddos smile tonight but especially my Max. #alopeciaawareness #ohiostatesoccer

The Buckeyes start in a 4-1-4-1, but the shape constantly evolves.

When the ball travels wide, Aaron Hurge checks deep toward the outside back while an attacking midfielder runs through the channel.

That gives the outside back multiple solutions:

Combine underneath.
Attack the channel.
Or find Nyle Waugh as the hold-up forward and play off him.

Higher up, one of the 10s joins the front line, creating a 4-2-4 with a vertically staggered midfield. The short distances allow Ohio State to interchange, circulate possession and maintain the overload.

And when they commit even more numbers?

Christian Baumgartner joins either wide or in the 10’s space, transforming the structure into a 3-2-5.
