I understand that when I say “menopause” or “perimenopause” anyone under the age of 40, or even women about that age have a lot of feelings😂— But the thing is menopause doesn’t mean you’re old. It means that you’re having hormonal changes—earlier and sooner then you really actually expect… In the reason you don’t expect it is because we don’t talk about it And we don’t talk about it cause we don’t wanna seem old or not sexy or not relevant what I’m saying is you can be young and hot, old and hot, just plain hot, a hot mess like me, or a super cool chill Bean, but no matter how you dice it your body she’s always changing, and the average general practitioner has about 1 to 3 hours of training about your hormones in general, not having to do with birth. so what I’m saying is if you want to be informed about symptoms you’re either currently having or will most likely have very soon, symptoms that on average take most women 6+ visits to practitioners to even start to understand- Then @meno_fest is for you!!!

Quick question... How old were you when perimenopause started? No, not menopause. Perimenopause. If your answer is "I don't know," you're in very good company. Most women have no idea when it starts, what it looks like, or that it can begin years before menopause itself. So when you are 35 and the anxiety shows up... When sleep starts falling apart... When your body feels different... When your periods get weird... When your patience disappears... We blame stress. We blame work. We blame the kids. We blame ourselves. Sometimes it is those things. Sometimes... it's hormones. And here's the kicker: If you're waiting until you're 50 to learn about menopause, you may be learning about it years later than you needed to. That's exactly why MenoFest exists. Not to tell you what choices to make. To make sure you know you have choices. 💛 Tag the friend who still thinks menopause is "a problem for future me." She might want to know this sooner than she thinks. 🎟 Early Bird Tickets are on sale now at Menofest.org.

Hormone therapy, lifestyle changes, and a range of other options are available to women navigating menopause. The most important step is to educate yourself, find someone who will truly listen, and share with others! I’m so grateful to Andrea Driggs, NP from Valley Women’s Health for being a listening resource when I needed some girl talk. 🤝 #womenshealth #menopause #vocallongevity #jazzvocalist #performativesinger

In this segment, Andrea Driggs, NP from Valley Women’s Health shares how estrogen affects blood sugar and how the body moves through menopause. These are conversations I care deeply about, not just for singers, but for women everywhere who deserve to feel seen and supported. Knowing this changed my career forever. So grateful for this impactful little bit of Girl Talk with Andrea Driggs, NP from Valley Women’s Health. For generations, many women simply adjusted their repertoire as their voices changed with age, and there is something beautiful about honoring where your voice naturally lands over time… But today we also understand more about how hormones can affect the voice, and what options exist for singers who want to preserve the instrument they’ve built their careers on. Conversations like this matter. Hear the full episode on my SingBaby Sessions Podcast. #girltalk #womeninmusic #vocalhealth #jazzvocalist #menopause

Welcome to the first post of the Laguna Beach Audubon Society and Ornithology Club. Our goal is to promote spending time outdoors by watching for, identifying and learning about the birds around us. This first photo comes to us from LBASOC member Andrea in Orem, Utah. Her porch is beautifully decorated for autumn with her Leghorn chicken, Gigi 2.0, featured in the foreground. Did you know that Leghorns are the most common egg-laying chickens in North America? Well, now you do 😉

Today was FAMILY Day! Star Valley Wyoming is where my Mom and Dad’s earliest family memories began and it’s also where my Mother felt she had found Heaven on Earth. We went as a family today to bask in the sun and feel close to her.
