POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A young OLD Soul has something to say. This year centerpieces for @playpenn was Presented with Philly Young Playwrights, Emergence by Zoe Palmer. This was very Exciting!! This may be the youngest Playwright reading/play we have ever seen. This is another reason we Love this Conference. You are there for a piece(or person’s) early stage of the process. And while it is nerve wrecking it is also thrilling!! 👏🏿👏🏿

Directed by a fave James Kern, we are taken on a journey of Birth... well before Birth. Had the chance to see 3 beings navigate to be or not be born & what it really takes to know things & do it(whatever IT is). Zoe’s writing is pretty impressive. This was a complete full story told in ONE hour that had us fully engaged.🔥 This was a treat & such a gift to us all. It was great to see young people support one another the Cast was Top Notch. Some are more familiar than others but ALL so talented. In a stage readings these actors ARE the catalyst for us & the story. From the Stage Direct to the magic of ‘The Stand’ 😉, Fantastic.🫰🏿 Hearing your words on the Suzanne Roberts Theatre Stage after graduating HS is pretty Cool. I am sure Mr Donovan is just as Proud as your Dad is! 🙏🏿🫶🏾

Happy Pride Month!

As a queer artist, I’m proud to look back on Queerano, which I directed and developed for the 2025 Philadelphia Fringe alongside a host of LGBTQ+ collaborators. The production was later honored with the FringeArts Theatre Award.

Here’s to queer stories, queer artists, and the power of representation on our stages.
