This was such a dope event, 6 year anniversary. We booked @itspacdiv and all the homies, and it went up like it always does. Hard to believe this was 10 years ago. It was beautiful then, and we’re excited to see what the 16-year anniversary is gonna look and feel like. Let’s keep building

BROKEN WINTER: TEN YEARS LATER

I could easily tell you how long it took to record each one of my albums. But this one? It was a community effort. It felt like it took my whole life up until that point to get it all out of me. I had a few projects out before BW, but this one was different in the sense that i was finally jumping head first into a real process, a body of work that passes thru many hands with a collective agreement to push the art forward. Any championship team will tell you what it takes to actually win. And it all sounds cliché. Until walking your walk becomes Striding in Symphony. So a 5 man team of producers from Norway named THE LOOP HOLES (@loop.holes_) hit me up and said they wanted to produce an album for me. At the time I was represented by the best independent label in Inland Empire history BLACK CLOUD MUSIC (@blackcloudmusic) it was a GO! All green lights ahead.

Looking back, I was a baby with no care in the world other than being a creative force with the energy of a heat seeking missile.. Sometimes I still think that way.

Im in my 30’s now still doing what I’ve always wanted to do. Im still with all my brothers that I came up with. That’s what means the most to me. ITS OSA (@osa_lifestyle) FOREVER!!! A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO DAVID MAY (@itsdavidmay) who engineered the album, the man is so meticulous with how he does his mixes. I would say that the main reason this album is considered a classic is because of the work you put in behind the boards my brother. I love you mayne.

I HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO OFFER!!

It’s an honor to be of service, it’s an honor to use my gifts for good, it’s an honor to express myself, it’s an honor to have people lend their ears, it’s an honor to share this space with you all. It’s an honor to be me.

Here’s to another ten years..

With Love & Respect
- Phantom Thrett
