Cheers to community, and connection. Salud Amigos! 🍻✨

We are still buzzing from the energy Fabian Rey (@fabianrey) brought to South Salt Lake for Mural Fest 2025. Based in Austin by way of Puerto Rico, Fabian didn’t just paint a wall—on his way through, he wove himself into the very fabric of our community.

His mural at Level Crossing Brewing, titled "Salud Amigos," is a vibrant reminder of why we gather.

🌟 Highlights from Fabian’s stay during Mural Fest 2025

The Mural: A bright, playful masterpiece at Level Crossing Brewing that celebrates friendship.

The Mentorship: Fabian shared his craft and wisdom with his talented apprentice, @andrehoggan.

The Connection: He got to reunite with fellow Austin local @DAAS right here in SSL!

The Wisdom: His heartfelt insights during the Artist Talk at the @National_Mural_Award event left us all inspired.

Fabian arrived with a smile and left with a smile, leaving us with a permanent "Salud!" to friendship every time we pass his wall. We were sad to see him head back to Texas, but his message stays behind: Celebrate friendship every day. THANKS @SouthSaltLakeArts and @AllenArts.Me for a great additions to this duration.

Andre M. Hoggan's method begins with natural fibers harvested from his surroundings. Plants such as milkweed and yucca are processed into pulp, which is then manipulated onto a steel armature, relief, or woven element. The combination of materials inspires a textured and organic figurative form.
