At the end of last year I travelled to Tbilisi with @theworldofinteriors to document the inspirations and the craftmakers behind @dakadaka.london

What a lovely experience with a lovely bunch of people 💛

The Room that Shared - photography project alongside the physical exhibition. It was a joy to collaborate with such incredible people!

Free to fall, “I kind of like that they’re into life. I feel like my family are into life which is cool.”
A celebration of the freedom in flying and in falling. There is a forgiveness that comes with the fluidity of childhood play - the juvenile way of exploring the world and its boundaries before adulthood turns us rigid.

Whole and complicated, “Now you come back and they’re accepting you, like loving arms.”
Complexities within completion, the concept of familial wholeness is different for everyone. Wholeness is beyond oneness, it is layered and nuanced, riddled with overlap, extension and dimension.

The Room that Shared - photography project alongside the physical exhibition. Capturing the human interaction of the sculptures, featuring the people who were interviewed and inspired the works.

Closeness happened, “I think it’s probably cultural as well, but it’s like we feel very forced and very obliged to have to do things as a unit.”
Overbearing, oppressing and opinionated forces are stuffed between layers of chaos that only seem to suffocate. How do you stand independently when your unit stands on top of you?

Over stepping, stepping back, “She’s really great at giving, very hard at receiving. She’s trying.”
The push and pull of sibling forces teeter between embrace and exclusion, receptiveness and resistance. It is one of the few connections that allow a constant of being at odds whilst never straying too far from even ground again.

Presenting my first official work as Movement Director! ✨✨

“The Room That Shared” by Shanti Bell

Movement directing and my work as a Practitioner go hand in hand— all stems from the same seed. I love creating a holistic approach to exploring and enhancing the way we move.

These roles allow me to craft experiences that are both artistically inspiring and healing.

In one breath focusing on helping individuals connect deeply with their bodies and inner selves, in the other guiding expressive movements that use bodies to tell stories…

Much love to everyone on this one! @shantibell_ trusting me with your vision ❤️

The dense weight of expectation may be a guide to some or a constraint to others. How well does one fit into the mould of a pre-carved space?
