I love travelling with strangers. Years ago, if you were to ask me the same, I would cringe at that thought.
Now, having done multiple trips with strangers, I ABSOLUTELY love it. Travel brings out cultures, it bonds you even when you don’t think you knew how to - & that’s what travelling with 8 strangers from @klookkreator taught me 🤍

From being strangers on one day to squeezing in the same overnight sleeper Sapa train the very next day, to tour guides not knowing how to speak English but bursting out in songs which we could all learn to, we’re more alike as humans than we really think we are.

The memories from each trip occupy a piece of my heart - raw, but beautiful. One day, I’ll look back at these postcards and remember the roaring laughters, the insect bites, the screaming, the teasing, the google translations and everything in between.

That’s what happens when you travel with an open mind and choose to let go. You become a little closer to that best version of you. 🧡 Here’s a piece of my heart, Hanoi.

here are some of my favorite favorite spots to eat back in my home state California 🌞🍳 + a little recap of my trip back in august (that i forgot to post about…😅)

📍 @openmarket.la - Normandy sandwich + ube latte. always save the best for last meal whenever I visit LA :)
📍 @thecommunitygoods - top 3 hojichas I’ve ever had
📍 (Not a resto but) i restock on everything @traderjoes
📍 @cali.spartan i love their quesabirria tacos & the DIP
📍 @grandcentralmarketla has such great variety went 3x
📍 @innout a MUST. hamburger + animal fries (i sometimes get itchy but it’s ok it’s worth it, just ask for one less slice of cheese lmao)
📍 MY LAST MEAL: @submarinecenter omg i still think about no.5 and no.6 sandwiches (if ur ever in sf plz try!!!)

Put my Salomons to good use 🥾😼🏞️

Went on an insane hike today at 📍TEAPOT MT. & BANPINGSHAN here in Taiwan 🇹🇼!! Absolutely breathtaking views—gorgeous hills and the ocean stretching in every direction ⛰️🥹🌊

————————-
[HOW TO GET THERE]
• Take 🚌 Bus 1062 from Exit 2 of 🚇 Zhongxiao Fuxing (忠孝復興) Station
• Ride for about an hour and get off at 🚏Jinguashih (金瓜石, Gold Ecological Park)

[HIKE TIMING]
• You can actually just walk up stairs and some hills for about 1–2 hours, but my friends and I decided to keep going to 🦖 Stegosaurus Ridge—an insanely steep climb (SLIDES 6/7)
• Our full hike took 5–6 hours (including rest and photos 😆) because we took a longer loop—going back down was way too scary 😵‍💫
• But reaching that Banpingshan (半屏山) sign felt so rewarding 🫡

PS: You can head to Jiufen (九份)🏮 (Spirited Away town) afterward for sunset—it’s not far!
