The vision I had for By Hidden Leaf was to build a team of like-minded creatives who genuinely love documenting love stories 🎥📸

I know that sounds simple… but throughout my wedding career, I’ve seen that a lot of what’s out there is all about the money, the views and the notoriety. That’s totally okay if that’s what drives you in this industry, but for me it has always been about serving couples to the best of my ability, so they have a time capsule of the best day of their lives.

As I grew as a creative and a business owner, I noticed my own life balance slipping away. 12-hour wedding days, sometimes back to back, and one stretch of 10 in a row in October 2025.

Before one wedding I had a Jiu-Jitsu tournament, and the thought crossed my mind: it isn’t fair to a couple who hires me if I get injured right now. That was on the back of missing countless birthdays, family catch-ups and the general days off that kept me zen.

So I created By Hidden Leaf, despite so many in the industry putting a stigma on wedding groups or “agencies.”

I never set out to be an agency that simply sends random photographers and videographers who’ve only shot one wedding before. Again, if that’s your business, all the power to you, but that’s not what I wanted to create. What I wanted was a carefully curated team that I know and trust, a team you know you’re going to get.

That vision has come to life a lot quicker than I expected, with couples booking every week simply because they love the team’s vibe and our quirkiness. Week in, week out, the boys and I are covering weddings, capturing love stories and having amazing editing sessions in our By Hidden Leaf studio.

The dream has become a reality, and we’re enjoying every second of it.

To Rhys, Emman, Dre and Zain, thank you for all your hard work. I can’t wait to show the wedding industry what we’ve been cooking 🍳
