Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! This year at Kamoka has been filled with some of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. At the beginning of the year, our founder Patrick was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in which he defied the odds and became cancer free by the end of the year. Patrick’s son Josh was attacked by a shark and was stuck waiting for 5 hours until he was airlifted out by the military. He has damaged nerves preventing him from moving his foot properly and severe pain forcing him to be on painkillers 24/7. Many things could have made this situation way worse and we are very grateful to have him here safely and on the road to recovery. On the farm side of things we’ve expanded our team, 5X’d our oyster stock, rebuilt part of the farm, finished our boat project, and much more. We’ve made many new friends along the way and have adopted two new pups, Leyenda and Jules. With our expanded stock, we’ve massively increased the amount of oysters for fish to clean thus boosting the amount of food at their disposal. We’re excited to see what impact this will have on local marine life populations this coming year. Thank you all for your support along this journey ❤️
