Why invest in parks? Because when we invest in our parks, we invest in the people and communities that use them every day.

Parks Foundation of Clark County Board Member Andrew Gratzer shares why parks are a worthwhile investment in our community and why continued support matters.

This Give More 24!, we’re asking Clark County to do more than give. We’re asking you to join us.

There are two ways to strengthen the community behind PFCC:

🌳 JOIN — Become one of 150 new Parks Foundation members by September 24. Membership is $65 and is processed directly through PFCC.

💚 GIVE — Make a charitable donation through the official Give More 24! page and help PFCC maximize the $10,000 Firstenburg Foundation matching gift.

Choose one path or both. Every new member and every gift helps build stronger support for the parks and programs that make Clark County a better place to live, connect and thrive.

So, I have known Andrew Gratzer for many years. I had the honor of attending his and Bradley McKnight destination wedding years ago, it was awesome. Andrew is one of those guys who give big bear hugs and every room he enters is lit up by his smile. Earlier this year I saw a post he was no longer at his employment and was shocked like so many, but it was his announcement he needs a kidney that stopped me in my tracks.

I knew I needed to do something, I decided to step up to the plate, despite my mom being worried and my general practitioner and Rheumatologist against my decision. I began the simple process to see if I were a matched. The first three steps, easy. Then Legacy Transplant team sent me for blood work and urine. I prepared myself to tell Andrew once I was a match...I prepared myself to help my friend without any second thoughts, but this week I got the call, my history of biologics and transfusions for rheumatoid arthritis (despite my body cleansed of these meds since 2020) failed the hope of helping my friend. I have had rheumatoid arthritis since 1986 and sadly the treatments and disease, although dormant since 2020, would be a risk to both Andrew and me.

What isn't a risk, sharing the link for other potential matches. I have 3000 followers, please read Andrew's story and share this link and let's find him a Kidney so the world keeps seeing the smile and hearing the laughter and hugs keep coming. Andrew is a great guy, lets find him a match.

Love you Andrew ❤️
