Happy Birthday to my BFFA!! (Best friend forever Andrew)

-
You know your pretty cool and I’m blessed to have to as my friend. I kinda don’t remember what life was like before you came into it bugging me everyday! I think the only reason I put up with you is because you are one of the funniest and smartest guys I know. (I plan on your success to bring me mine! Lol) So cheers to doing this political stuff and having fun along the way!

Much love!💕🎉🎊

Atlanta, this is how we put on for our City. This is why elections matter. This is why Atlanta must be seen as a group project.

When you see @andreforatlanta amplifying @atlyearoftheyouth and we then create community grants, invest millions for early childhood programs, create new creative youth programs, ensure 4,000 kids have a summer job and create safe places for children to laugh and play…
And when you see @andreforatlanta amplifying the great work that @courtneyenglish4atl @joshuahumphries @chatiqua_ellison @andrewgray11 and our entire team do to protect families from slumlords and bring affordable and rapid housing options…
When you see @andreforatlanta supporting small businesses and the arts and popping up to work out and enjoy a meal or purchase a book—-THIS is putting on for the City.

This group project is moving in the right direction. Everyone is on board, from APS, City Council, Invest Atlanta, County Reps and all. I’m proud to be a part of it. I’m even prouder that we all chose a leader with the vision to make the City the best place to raise a child.

Happy New Year. This is only the beginning. Tap in. More to come. 🫶🏽🎊🎉💪🏽🅰️

I’m posting this here because you need to know what’s going on. The City is suing Millenia Properties on behalf of 800 residents who lived in Forest Cove Apartments. The families were living in squalor and filth (and paying rent!)—for way too long. Ms. Peaches is the lead plaintiff and if you see her and don’t see your own Grandma and Elders—listen.

I have a personal disdain and disgust for Millenia. They are an abhorrent company that profited while Black Children went without heat, living in rat infested apartments—many with windows and balconies missing. I worked with the kids from the area during my tenure in Atlanta Public Schools. Many would have rat bites and ring worms and be sick constantly.

SHAME ON YOU MILLENIA!! This is only the beginning of a coordinated effort, led by our City to shutdown slumlords who profit while our Elders like Ms. Peaches suffer inhumane conditions. Mayor Dickens has already relocated the families (last year) and we will all ensure this never happens again. Not on our watch. #MilleniaMustPay #NotonOurWatch #NeverAgain

I’m so proud to be a part of the Administration who says #NotTodayShawty . Congratulations to @courtneyenglish4atl and my colleagues who stay in the housing trenches fighting the good fight.
