8.7.26: part 2 of saying goodbye to some of my favorite humans.

Yes, I know some of them aren’t Growler players, but they have still been part of my season.

Everything I said in my previous post applies to these guys too. I know I will see some of you in the spring and/or fall, and some I will see next season as returners. It doesn’t make the sadness of missing them go away though.

I wouldn’t trade my summers for anything else.

8.5.26: Game 1 vs Richmond…we win! It rained most of the game, but not hard enough to stop us from playing. I had to make a couple of trips onto the field tonight, but not for our players. @liamgolden05 had a FANTASTIC outing, going in 6 2/3 innings. He had to get pulled due to his pitch count. We had awesome ⚾️ 💣 from @brock__sell and @demirheid, giving us a solid 10-8 win.

One more home game 😢

8.4.26: we played Royal Oak again tonight, losing 6-5. @logantribble had a 2-run shot in the first inning that was amazing! @parker_aten made it almost 7 innings but was at his pitch count. He did SOOOO WELL on the mound tonight! Although we came up short, and had 3 errors, we had the bases loaded (twice) in the 9th. We just couldn’t get one more run to cross. Only 2 more home games left.

8.1.26: Game 1 of 2 at Battle Creek. The I94 Series. @jeremiaholder starting on the mound. Cecil Fielder apparently gave our guys some good hitting advice yesterday and they must have listened! Our defense could still use a little work, though it was better than it has been.

Some of the new guys played tonight, including @ca_moore13 behind the plate and @aliedeke2 in relief.
@sam_beemer_ and @kaelgahan3 came in to close the game, giving us the 6-3 win.

7.30.26: Tonight was college colors night so we had all 3 Kalamazoo colleges represented. We had the mascots from @kzoovalley , @wmubroncos_ , and @kalamazoocollege join our own Porter for all sorts of shenanigans tonight. Although we may not have beaten the Flying Mummies, @liamgolden05, @parker_aten , @kaelgahan3 , and @gavjones_ all did great on the mound tonight. Only 5 more home games and 4 away games until our season is over 😢
