last time, best time 🎥💗

ocala film derby, thank you for bringing so much excitement to my last year at the derby. I’m sad to leave but i’m so grateful for the opportunities, skills, and friends the derby has provided to me these past 2 years.

This year, my team: Sherlock Hitchcock and The Unsolved Films, won Best Use of Prop, Audience Choice, and our AMAZING director, Anna, won best director. I also won Best Actor which was just an honor, especially since this award was new this year.

I am so proud of my team, we KICKED ASS!! We worked together, collaborated, and all came together to make an amazing film in 9 hours. Everyone on that team is so awesome and the love and support from everyone, including my AMAZING mentor, Brody Barcode.

I also want to give a big thank you to everyone who voted me to receive a scholarship this year. I was lucky enough to receive a $3000 scholarship from the film derby. My boys, andrew and chance, also won scholarships. Andrew also won $3000 and my amazing boyfriend, chance won the big $6000 scholarship!!

Thank you Ocala Film Derby for giving students across the county the chance to compete and create something that they are passionate about. Watching everyone around me express their passion for film and creation is one of the best feelings in the world and being a part of that was beyond anything I could’ve ever dreamed of.

Never stop growing, never stop creating 💗

The @ocalafilmderby has been such an amazing experience for me over the last two years. From putting me in an amazing position to learn from industry professionals to making lifelong connections with my fellow filmmakers, I owe a lot of my success to the film derby and to everyone who was working behind the scenes to give us an amazing experience.

From my first film derby a year ago, I never imagined this is where I would be today. I’m thankful for everyone who’s supported me and helped make me a better filmmaker, and to the derby for providing me with a $6,000 scholarship so I can better develop myself as a filmmaker in college.

From learning on the set of my OFD 25’ film: Out Of Line, to winning judges choice in OFD 26’, I’ve never been able to describe the feeling that competing and learning with my peer provides me, and I’m so thankful I got to experience it one last time.

I’m so thankful for my amazing team, and I’m so glad I was able to contribute enough that we were able to come together and win judges choice, a huge accomplishment for all of us.

And with that, that’s a wrap on my final film derby. 📸💚

Tonight didn’t exactly go according to plan. Between a few unexpected technical difficulties and some location complications, production hit a couple bumps in the road.

That said, I’m incredibly excited about this project and the amazing team helping bring it to life. Every challenge has pushed us to get more creative, and I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.

For now, here’s a first look at Going Up.

Coming soon.
