Latest SSAA Team Rankings: No changes

1. @tkalions (7-0) ↔️
2. @ahs_stallionsfootball (6-1) ↔️
3. @bocachristian (6-1) ↔️
4. @jupiterchristianfootball (4-2) ↔️
5. @gooxbridge (4-3) ↔️

UPCOMING CHANGE

The next rankings update will be released on Wednesday, October 14 due to the fact the @gooxbridge (4-3) will have two games over the next few days:

10/8: Home vs. @bocachristianathletics
10/13: Away at @jil_football

Also: If @jil_football (5-0) beats @gooxbridge on next Tuesday night, we will place them in the Top 5 and change these rankings from SSAA Top 5 to SSAA/FHSAA Independent Top 5.

This will mean that John I. Leonard, St. John Paul II, Inlet Grove, Suncoast, and Tradition Prep will be added for inclusion purposes. It will need to be done because we don’t have enough FHSAA Independent teams in Palm Beach County & the Treasure Coast to rank them all separately.

Thank you everyone!

Early Season Top 50 Rankings: Palm Beach

Rankings by: @east_coast_exposure_fl / @muckcitymediaent

👨🏾‍💻: @cwsportsmedia 🔥🔥🔥

EXPLANATION OF TOP 50 AND HONORABLE MENTIONS

First things first: Congratulations to the 100 high school seniors from Palm Beach County who are being formally recognized in this space! 🥳

You are all amazing in your own rights, and we are rooting for you to do even greater things moving forward. This goes for everyone who made this list and everyone who didn’t make this particular one.

Now with that said, let us address the elephant in the room: West Boca Raton. 🐂

A lot of would-be Top 50 players got moved over to Honorable Mentions because to be brutally honest, West Boca Raton has at least 13 players that truly deserve to be in the Top 50. And to be fair, West Boca Raton should have more than 13 players on this Top 50 list.

This is what happens when you are fielding a nationally ranked team - currently No. 18 in the nation by @maxpreps - that is loaded with seniors at almost every position.

To make this a reality, every team represented had to sacrifice. This means that no other team has more than four players ranked in the Top 50 this time.

The other elephant in the room: Some teams either did not place their players statistics on @maxpreps or the overall information we needed was limited. Moving forward, we need full stats and full @hudl film highlights from every player so they can be properly considered.

Last thing: We will be expanding the list from Top 50 to Top 75 and add a Honorable Mentions list to include 50 more players after Week 9. This means that next time, we will recognize 125 high school football seniors. It will address the deserving players that got left out this time.

Bring your complaints, your concerns, and your anger to the comments. We want all the smoke so we can continue to refine this list for next time. 💨🔥😲🤔😡🤬

Once again, congratulations to all of our players!

We also thank each and every coach, parent, administrator, and support staff member for pouring into our players in your own way. We appreciate you all as well!

QUICK EXPLANATION

Everyone lost in Week 3 except for No. 3 Fort Pierce Central and No. 4 Jensen Beach.

But the reason why no moves were made this week is simply for one reason:

Strength of schedule

• No. 1 Vero Beach played against St. Frances Academy (MD), which is the @maxpreps No. 2-ranked team in the nation.

•No. 2 John Carroll played against Cardinal Newman, which is the consensus No. 2-ranked team in Palm Beach County and Top 10-ranked team in the state.

We have to respect Vero Beach and John Carroll for even putting these aforementioned teams on their schedule. This will help both teams later in more ways than one later on this season.

We will leave it at that.

Enjoy Week 4 everyone!

We got Pahokee (3-0) being closer to being a consensus Top 3 team in Palm Beach County now…

Palm Beach Post is finally on board with it.

New Era Prep is getting close to doing it.

ESPN West Palm might consider it next week.

And Rangeman could eventually be down with it if Pahokee wins up to three more games.

If Pahokee beats Atlantic, Boynton Beach, and John Carroll by after Week 6, I’m expecting to see a consensus Top 3 team in Palm Beach County.

Can Pahokee go 6-0 to unofficially win District 10-1A title and be a consensus Top 3 team in Palm Beach County before its bye in Week 7?

EXPLANATION FOR LATEST MOVES WITH TEAM RANKINGS

First up: Everyone please give a shout out to @561richierich and the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats!

The now-No. 9 ranked team in Palm Beach County overcame a heartbreaking buzzer-beating 16-14 home loss to now-No. 3 Pahokee in Week 2 by keeping their heads down and earning a truly resounding 48-13 road win over Martin County in Week 3. This was a huge win because it was a matchup between two of the top three favorites to win this year’s District 12-5A title.

Now that Royal Palm Beach is 1-0 in 12-5A play, it really only needs to beat South Fork in Week 6 to officially be the odds-on district title favorite. From that point on, its remaining district games are:

•Week 8 vs. Palm Beach Gardens (0-3); 10/9 at 6:30 pm
•Week 9 vs. Seminole Ridge (1-2); 10/16 at 6:30 pm
•Week 10 at Dwyer (1-1); 10/23 at 6:30 pm

However…

Royal Palm Beach’s return to the Top 10 is at No. 9 because a loss to Glades Central in Week 4 (Thursday, 9/10; 6:30 pm kickoff on the Muck) will mean the obvious:

Goodbye Top 10.✌️

This should be enough for no one to say anything negative about Royal Palm Beach.

Next and last up: Two swaps took place. 👀

1. Cardinal Newman and Pahokee (2-3)
2. Atlantic and Palm Beach Central (4-5)

Reason: Strength of schedule per @maxpreps

Have a great week everyone!
