Warsaw Gallery Weekend: first impressions

When you feel both weirdly at home and totally ignorant of the context.
When doors open (on the upper floors) and you feel welcomed, but also completely unaware of so many things yet to discover – things you may never discover.

Familiar and alien? Gentle and poignant? Strongly contemporary and heavy with layers of history?
Gotham City, Versailles, Berlin, Belgium, the war, the forest, the art?

Many thanks to @warsawgalleryweekend and Jacek Sosnowski @curating666 for the great program and hospitality.

Thanks, amigas, for playing scenes from Truffaut’s *Domicile conjugal* abroad, and for nurturing the « Someone Great » vibe all the way.

Poker face in front of Sana Shahmuradova Tanska asking « Who Promised It Was Going to Be Alright? We Never Did. Indeed » – it gave us the shivers in @gunianowikgallery

At Stereo Gallery, Gizela Mickiewicz building fountain-chairs with lovers’ arms, and internalising the landscape by transforming her father’s shirt into a skeleton-like architecture, fragile yet structured, with a door to open.

At Monopol, a great encounter between the late artist Teresa Pagowska’s 90s collages and the work of the super young and talented painter Martyna Pinkowska. Silhouettes, interiors with a surreal sense of … and this very special « palette » of faded tones.

Glad to finally see Piktogram gallery in its own space – and words(!) – after being intrigued by their program

Please Join us tmrw Sunday 8pm in Tbilsii, for DAS ERSTE MAL with new additions by @vajikochachkhiani and @androeradze

Das Erste Mal presents the first video works of contemporary artists—experimental, direct, and often eccentric short films that reveal creative beginnings in which intuition precedes style and curiosity overrides calculation. The moving image becomes a tool for testing ideas in real time, allowing accidents, hesitation, and discovery to remain visible.

Still: Stereo Ballet, 2006, @vajikochachkhiani

The screening will happen at the same location and parallel to the live concert
PIRADI PASUCHISMGEBLOBA organised together with @the_g_a_ll_e_r_y @e_a_shared_space @subsequence2.0 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Day 2 of Ekrani i Artit ❤️

Sharing with you glimpses of all the places and the time we shared together yesterday.

Following the talks, screenings and events we sense that time goes by very quickly but we insist on finding a moment to breath this experience in avash-avash.

Check the pinned program on our page, or in the highlighted section every day.

Happy birthday to ANDRO ERADZE! 🎉

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1993, where he lives and works.

Eradze’s practice investigates the potentiality of animism as method. Photography, installations, experimental cinema practices and video blend into a project contemplating the fading present, in which the Anthropocene is faltering, and everything operates independently of it.
