Andy and I have loved visiting #newyorkcity but had not been just the two of us …it was an amazing time, we enjoyed every second🙌❤️!

Our 72 hours was packed with lots of walking, eating delicious meals, museums, subway stations, Broadway play and just overall a fun way to do NYC with your spouse! We did some different things than maybe the typical touristy stuff😊

We hope you’ll give it a go too!

Built for More - Week 1

What a great way to kick off MidWeek at Shades.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside this group of men over the next several weeks. Humbled by the responsibility and excited to see what God does as we challenge one another to seek Him, live with greater purpose, and become the men He has called us to be.

Last night was just the beginning. There’s a lot more ahead.

Our first weekend in our new home couldn’t have been more special🙏

Getting to celebrate with our whole family under one roof filled my heart in ways I can’t even put into words. These moments remind me how incredibly blessed we are, God’s goodness is evident.

Generate 2026: For All

This last week in the mountains of GA/TN has been so fulfilling. The opportunity to give back to and pour back into the student ministry that gave so much to and poured so much into me all those years has always been such an honor. To not just the size of the group grow, but the students in the group grow in faith is truly awe-inspiring.

The theme this year was “For All.”

For All people. For All your sin. For All your needs. For now and For All time. The Gospel is For All.

I could talk about every teaching point and small group lesson, but I won’t this time. However, something that did stick out and resonate with me was a point made by @andy_blanks last night. He was talking about what to do with the life Jesus bought for you and preaching out of Philippians 3, the message of the sermon was dissatisfaction with what you have done because there is always more to do for Christ as a believer. Do not become satisfied, complacent in what you’ve done. Even Paul - the author of half of the New Testament and the greatest church planter in history - was not satisfied with what he’d done. We must put what we have done behind us to advance the Gospel. That means both the good and the bad.

I say all this to put this into context:

Pat Tillman, a football player at the peak of the football world, hung up the cleats because he was unsatisfied with what he was doing for good. After 9/11, he enlisted in the Army and would be struck down in Afghanistan in 2004, but his legacy lives on. As a college football fan, this resonated with me. Even more so as a follower of Christ. This is the attitude we must have as believers, the attitude of Christ.

“Although He existed in the form of God, He did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited. Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a servant; by taking on the likeness of humanity; and when He had come as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even to death on a cross.” Philippians 2:6-8

But Christ rose to offer mercy and grace to those who call on His Name. And those that call are called to live for Christ every moment of every day. Romans 12:1-2.
