Saturday was something else😂😭.
50KM of gravel, crazy climbs, mud, and moments that had me wondering why I signed up for this in the first place🤣.But honestly, the beautiful views, the experience, and the feeling of pushing through made it all worth it❤️‍🔥.

This ride was extra special because I had the honour of representing @docsofhearing at the Mt Kenya Loop Series as a corporate representative❤️.

Thank you, @docsofhearing for trusting me to represent you and for the support. I truly appreciate the opportunity and the confidence you have in me. It means a lot to have a team that believes in me and supports my passion for cycling. 🙏🏽❤️

One ride, 50KM, countless memories, and another adventure in the books.

Naigzy Gebremedhin has climbed Mount Kenya fourteen times.

Every one of them began more or less at our door. Forest, then bamboo, then the long road up. The Vertical Bog. Mackinder’s. Then two in the morning, headtorch on, because the last push to the top always starts in the dark.

Point Lenana is 4,985 metres. He has stood on it fourteen times. The most recent, at ninety.

We have watched a lot of people walk out of here towards that mountain. Some of them are very fit and very young. He is neither, and he keeps going up, which tells you something about what the climb actually asks for.

Happy Mashujaa Day, from all of us at Naro Moru River Lodge, to every shujaa still climbing. Whatever the mountain.

Who’s your shujaa? Tell us below.

Forget UCI points and podiums. It’s about riding with your crew and experiencing the Maasai Mara on two wheels.

Send this to a buddy. If they don’t reply in 5 minutes, they owe you a trip to bike with zebras in Kenya!😏🦓

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES.

North, towards the majestic slopes of Mount Kenya.

On 17th October 2026, the LOOP Safari Gravel Series arrives at Mt Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, where the journey begins and ends—celebrating Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes, rich cultures, and the spirit of exploration.

From the Limuru Highlands to the Rift Valley, the coast, and now the shadow of Mount Kenya, every road reveals a new story. Every ride brings us closer to the heart of Kenya.

One road. Many stories. One extraordinary journey.

@themachored They made me do it.

This whole ride the saxophone kept getting louder & louder…

In Kenya they call crashing “Renewing your license” 😂😂😂.

The Narumoru Cycling Festival was a special moment, but today, my heart is with the people I’ve lost. 🕊️❤️

Remembering my best friend Felix and my dear friend Edna. 😭 Some losses leave a space that can never truly be filled, and some memories will always stay with us.

As I look ahead to the Loop Safari Gravel Series, I carry a special hope that it will be my chance to ride for you both. Until then, you remain in my heart, always remembered and never forgotten. 🕊️❤️

Rest peacefully, Felix and Edna. 🕯️
