POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I woke up this morning and got quite a fright,
as I opened my eyes in the dim morning light...

These are the first lines of the book that popped into my head as I was driving with my little girl. The rest flowed from there and I had to pull over to write it down 😄

And this sketch is one of the first ones I was sent as my book started to come to life.

I am very much enjoying this process!

Meet two of the characters from our very first book! ✏️✨

Here's a peek at some of their first sketches as they begin to come to life. I can't wait to share more of their story with you!

These two characters are based on my two little ones! The book was inspired by a morning at home playing and making up silly games together, then it became a rhyming story, eeek (I'm so excited)

It has been so much fun creating the story, the characters and the vibe for the book. I'm working with an amazingly talented illustrator who is bringing my (very specific! 😂) vision to life in the best way.

And this is just the beginning!

Glasgow Card Show here I come! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😍

I’m absolutelyyyy in love with this design by @andy_illustrates!! She was so patient with me having no idea what the hell I wanted 😂 Gave me loads of great ideas and then smashed the final design out of the park.

So much love!! Best illustrator in the game 🙌✍️

For the show I’ve got cards, slabs, mystery slabs, plushies, Japanese snacks, FamilyMart socks, Pokémon bath bombs, Dragon Ball Z candy, sealed packs… and some 5-star Japan tours to sell! 🇯🇵🥳

A perfectly normal Pokémon card stall.

See y’all in Glasgow 😎

Hello illustrators,

Are you heading to Bologna for the book fair?

If so, we’d absolutely love to see you. We’re planning a gentle, informal sketchy meet-up on Monday evening around 6pm-ish in Piazza Maggiore, just a chance to sit together, draw a little, rest our feet and enjoy some easygoing chats.

There’s no pressure at all, whether you stay for five minutes or the whole evening everyone is very welcome. We’ll be there (Andy @andy_illustrates and Wendy @wendyjwarren ) your usual Blend hosts) and it would be so lovely to share a bit of time and creativity with you.

Hope to see some friendly faces there

Our last meet up of the year is now live - a link is in our bio !

Coming to a meet up can be daunting, but we ( your hosts @wendyjwarren and @andy_illustrates want to let you know that you are very welcome no matter what stage you are at on your illustration journey.

👀We know that not everyone celebrates or enjoys Christmas. This meetup isn’t about the big day itself, but about ending the year together in a relaxed, friendly, and creative way. Think of it as a warm gathering of illustrators, with a little optional seasonal sparkle.
Come along to meet others, share inspiration, and enjoy a cosy afternoon of creativity!
If you’d like to bring some tasty snacks or treats to share please do so- full details in the link but we’ll be heading to
