I've been on all sides of @nlpowerlifting NLPA Provincials as athlete, coach, meet director, spotter/loader, scorekeeper, setter-upper, referee, jury, and spectator and every damned time I am amazed at how this community pulls together to turn an empty gym into a celebration of strength. Thank you, spotters and loaders, for keeping the athletes safe. You were brilliant and worked seamlessly to keep the platform moving, despite a few white-knuckle moments and many, many dents and scratches to hands. Thank you refs for bringing your judgement, good humour and time to this event and for helping athletes learn to lift better by giving them fair calls. Thank you NLPA Exec. It is (pardon my language) a fucking HUGE job to run this meet, it takes months of planning and a concerted team effort, and you folks made it happen. Thank you for the work you do that goes unnoticed all year round and thank you for giving up your time and devoting your energy to making this sport happen. It's sincerely appreciated and ought to be praised more often. You folks rock. Thank you @rhaeastinn , @stinndler and @innerstrengthproducts for sponsoring the platform crew and prizes for athletes and volunteers. It means an awful lot for an association to be backed by such a solid and reputable business and it matters to athletes that you guys care as much as you do. Thank you. And Ryan? Love the new software! Thank you to the volunteers that often go unnoticed, who make sure there's food, load the trucks, sort the t-shirts, set up the venue, unload the trucks, clean up the scattered stuff each day, keep score, announce, and do all the other things that make this possible. Our team lifted beautifully, set records, hit PRs, grooved to music between attempts, made friends, learned ever so much, and became better lifters because of the effort put forth by everyone above. Thank you, from all of us!
