August wrapped up and it was a doozy… big month (as always) filled with birthdays, first days, film fests, anime, and max. I did squeeze some golf and quesadilla cooking in there where I could!!! #photodump❤️ #august #fulltiltfilmfest #planetanimekc

Upgrading to the Lunchbox II SATA SSD Case not only gives you reliable backup storage, but it can also help keep your external monitor running cooler. I always keep these drives as a backup in case my main card ever fails. And once you get used to viewing your footage on a full-size monitor instead of a tiny 2-inch screen, there’s no going back

The FX5 seems to be a no brainer but I’m still going to rock the FX3 for a bit. As much as I would love RAW internal recording, 5K Open gate, and 32bit float audio recording, I feel it’s just not as fast as the FX3 for run and gun situations. The idea that it reboots every time you change the frame rate/ resolution kinda kills its appeal for fast paced entertainments. I guess time will tell but you tell me, are you excited for the FX5?

Professionals don't pack more gear, They pack the right gear..... ⬇️
.
.
.
The difference between showing up prepared and showing up unprepared can make or break a production. Every piece of gear in my camera rig has a purpose, from the external monitor and V-mount battery to the microphone and cage. It's not about carrying the most equipment. It's about bringing the right tools to capture the vision without compromise.
.
When you're on set, there are no second chances for missed moments. A dead battery, poor audio, or struggling to see your composition can cost you the perfect shot. Taking the time to build a reliable setup before the shoot allows you to focus on creativity instead of solving problems in the middle of production.
.
Professional results come from professional preparation. Clients may only see the final video, but they don't always see the planning and equipment that made it possible. Investing in the right gear and knowing how to use it is what turns an idea into a cinematic story worth remembering.

This is how I get consistent colours and exposure across all my videos.

I’ve been using the @andycinegear T6 monitor for the past year, and it’s been a total game changer for me. I’m not a fan of huge camera rigs, but a monitor is one piece of gear I always bring when I travel.

Being able to properly see what my footage looks like while shooting gives me confidence that everything is exposed correctly and the colours are exactly how I want them.
